Overall Rating
Initially we were a bit worried due to previous reviews. However, we wanted to save some money so we picked this option as most of Tofino/Ucluelet is rather pricey.
The campground is very cozy, but as the other comments state: it's proper dry camping. There's a table/bench and a fire pit, and somewhere there may be a portable toilet. As we didn't mind the dry camping part, we actually enjoyed it. So if you want to save some cash and don't mind lack of power and water (and questionable bathrooms - we didn't check them out so not too sure...), then this is completely fine. We'd come again for sure.

Proprietor, Glen, was very friendly and welcoming... he did not want us to go. This is likely the most reasonably priced ($26/night) dry camping in the area. For comparison: Ucluelet Campground, much closer to town and with hot/free showers & flush toilets, has dry camping available for $46/night.
Lost Shoe Campground looks like some guy’s clearing for a housing development that stalled and it attracts some very “free spirit” type folks w/ affections for nighttime drum circles, marijuana smoking, and screaming children. So if you’re into all that, and like dry camping in some guys’s dusty acreage with great access to the walking/bike trail into Ukee, you’re in luck here at Lost Shoe Campground! None of the sites are numbered; Glen simply points to an area on his property and that’s where you camp. We had neighbors within 8 feet on either side with ZERO privacy.
Other amenities include: port-a-potty outhouse, garbage/recycling, fire pit, and picnic table.
No water.
No electricity.
No dump facilities.
This is dry camping.
