Other reviews suggest that this site is unregulated and chaotic. I could not disagree more. In less than 24 hours at least 2 officials came to inspect the site. It was all clean and amazing. Stay here. The views are breath taking and it’s so close to everything in the Tetons. Take the chance and stay here.

Stayed at site 6 for 5 nights in early June. We are in 40’ 5th wheel and the last 1/4 mile stretch up to the camping area is pretty rough but doable if you go slow. Only 3 sites on top so scout first before you haul your rig up. Easy access to Grand Teton Park for day trips.

We arrived to the Tetons late on a Friday night 6-4-21 after 10pm. Shadow mountain was full so we went here and there was a good bit of space available. This is very easy to get to right off the road. It’s on a dirt road but not too bumpy. Doesn’t have the best views from the camper. RVs were lined up in a row. To us, it felt more like a parking lot than a campsite but later on the next day we continued up the road for the Upper Teton View spots which were more spread out and had better views, however the road to get up there was longer and bumpier but still manageable with a 17ft trailer and easy to turn around as it does a loop at the first set of campsites. The lower Teton view sites are good for when you’re getting in late and just need a place to crash though.

This is a very active location due to the easy access to Teton NP. It was our initial intent to head up to the Upper Teton View sites, but those sites remain closed until mid to late June 2021 due to maintenance and controlled burning. There are camp hosts assigned to these sites, and I can feel their frustration as so many campers violate the closures or park in unapproved areas. Continued violations of established rules is what leads to the closure of dispersed camping sites.
For the immediate dates, campers should avoid this area as it fills up early. There is ample space available one-mile north at the Spread Creek location.
The access road is poorly maintained, rutted, and slick when wet.
There is a turn around lot, but if campers fill it up it may be difficult to turn around to get out.
Most sites are uneven off-camber, so leveling may be difficult.
Views of the Teton range is good, and most people where respectful of noise after hours.
Just be prepared for many close neighbors.
Cell coverage is poor if you need connection to work.

Currently The road to Upper Teton View is closed. Everyone is camping in the parking area at Lower Teton View. It was very crowded and people were parked anyplace the could find a spot. Not at all what we want when camping. Road is in very poor condition.

The road this far was only 1/4-1/2 mile. There were some sites further up that we checked out, which were very nice. The views were amazing up there, but the road was even worse! Very rutted out. There were some larger 5th wheels up around 11-12, but most were smaller. Drive your toad up there and make your own decision. We eventually found a different dispersed camping spot just up the road, which had a great road. That is where we moved and camped.

Good spot to stay to explore the area, A lot of rigs lined up in a row. Reminds me of a RV park, without the cost. Rough road to get there off the highway, but only for a short while, 1/4 mile or so. Plenty of room for any size rig.

Great location to explore Grand Teton NP. Located on a forest service road just across from Cunningham Cabin historic site (near triangle X ranch). The road up to the campsites is unpaved and has some pretty good ruts. Camped in the first campsite to the right (each night approximately 6-9 campers lined up in the site). Very dusty, especially when people speed up & down the road (but not as bad as I thought it would be). Maximum 5 night stay, would stay here again. Ok Verizon signal for texting/calls. Sometimes had no signal. Some mosquitoes and large flies, but nothing a little bug spray didn’t take care of.

I spent Fourth of July here car camping. Definitely slower Tuesday - Friday but we set a tent up so when we left we always came back to our spot. Became crowded at times but everyone was kind and gave as much distance as they could. I would go back ANYTIME. Not as far to Jackson as the GPS says, and has incredible views!

We camped here for 4 nights. It was amazing!! There were several other RVs and tents but everyone was respectful and it was quite. We will definitely be back!! Extremely rough road in and I don’t think anyone was level. You cannot beat the view!!
