New camp hosts had just arrived and were very friendly and working to improve the sites and campground. The sand flees are a problem in the hot afternoon if the wind is down so bring Cutters. Camp hosts are aware and may be able to improve that condition!

We stopped here for a layover on our way to Tahoe area. The place makes for a good start but I wouldn’t stay here for more than a night. We approached with no reservation and had no problem parking our 45 foot fifth wheel. Cell service is decent. No services. RV waste station available. Nice people at the camp.

This place is BEAUTIFUL! Our kids loved running up and down the hills and digging in the sand. We stopped here for an overnight on our way to Palm Springs from the San Benito area. When we arrived at 5:30pm we were the only ones there, a couple other overnighters showed up a bit later but it was really quite. Some of the sites are small but we were able to find plenty of sites to fit our 28ft trailer and 18ft van. It’s dry camping. The water at the campground tasted good and was readily available. when we were leaving we noticed the pull thru sites have sewer so we could’ve filled our clean water tank and used our sink. It’s close to I-5 and only takes about 10 mins to get there and there’s no crazy hills to drive or anything like that. It’s close to pyramid lake but we didn’t check it out, though driving past it loos like there a great sandy beach area for swimming.

“What a wonderful little campground not too far off Hwy 5. The price is a steal at $20/nt compared to coastal prices. ”

This is a wonderful small campground convenient to Hwy 5. Dry camping with plenty of campsites with full sun for solar. Plenty of places to run and there is an ATV area close by. The blocks that outline the campsites can be tight for bigger rigs. There are a few pull through sites and all have fire rings and picnic tables. We did not use the restrooms and there is a dump station. We were there during spring break Sunday-Wednesday and had the whole place to ourselves.

Spacious sites but no trees or foliage separating them. The new caretakers (there through the winter 17-18) are fabulous. Fun to hike the hills/mountains right in the campground. Spectacular views, sunsets, and star-gazing!

no connections at the sites but there are 2 dump stations available. Potable water is also available.
