Overall Rating
We had planned to stay at Osage Bluff Campground but it was closed for construction. Talked to the contractor and he recommended Long Shoal Campground because it underwent improvements last year. The improvements are mostly lengthening sites and adding additional electrical hookups to other sites.

Spent two days here and enjoyed it very much. All lots are spaced a good distance apart and each one has a fire ring, picnic table and electrical power. Dump and water is available at the entrance with water spigots throughout the sites as well as bathrooms, pit and flush-able and a shower house with washer and dryer. You get your s... more
Spent two days here and enjoyed it very much. All lots are spaced a good distance apart and each one has a fire ring, picnic table and electrical power. Dump and water is available at the entrance with water spigots throughout the sites as well as bathrooms, pit and flush-able and a shower house with washer and dryer. You get your selection of shade, partial shade or direct sunlight. They are doing a great job on keeping the place clean and cleans the toilets everyday. I highly recommend this location and will visit again soon.

We wanted something close to Warsaw & this seemed to be the closest of the Corps campgrounds. I thought it was 4 miles out but it’s actually more like 8 or 9. Maybe I misunderstood ? By the last day (Monday) we almost had the park to ourselves. We could see the Marina but so far the restaurant has limited hours so we didn’t ge... more

By the last day (Monday) we almost had the park to ourselves. We could see the Marina but so far the restaurant has limited hours so we didn’t get to try it. They turned us & some other people away on Sunday evening at 4:45 so we drove into town instead.

Lake-view sites, beaches, flush toilets and showers, all for $15/night. Don’t have super high expectations.
PROS:
Great sites on the water. Good space with picnic table and fire rings with a grate. Site 97 was on a corner, with a neighbor to one side, and lots of space between sites to the other.
CONS:
Showers aren’t great. Cobwebs and mold. First door didn’t even lock. Wide gaps with no curtain. No soap in bathrooms. (During COVID). Can’t expect much for $15/night, but bathrooms/showers were disappointing.
You can setup in the grass, right by the water and enjoy the beach. The ranger also told us of beach access just outside the park, across the street. Bathroom/shower house was a bit of a walk from our site, but nothing crazy. Worth it for the views.
No problems with AT&T cell service.

Paid $7 with senior pass, no electric. I always stay on the non-electric sites. Don't need it as I have solar. But they are some of the best sites as you are right next to the water. Great views.
