It's about 2 miles off the main highway and it's maintained pretty well. I drive a low-clearance 2WD car and I was easily able to get to and from the campsite. Granted, the gravel road can be a bit bumpy and you may have to swerve around a rock here and there.

The road off the highway is well maintained and only about a mile off the highway, but the road to get to the site is a little rough. It is only a few hundred feet though.

off the main highway you’ll travel, maybee 15 miles there’s dinosaur statues at the entrance, the arches park is on the right and blm is to the left.. roads are good enough to get out honda civic out there. it’s dusty but not real rough. my octogonal glasses were left behind let me know if you see them!

The road up to the top of the mesa is gravel, but it's not very far. A 1/4mile is all if I remember right. I'm not sure which highway you're referring.
