“A Great Spot”

Overall Rating
This is a nice spot along the river. The map makes it look like the nearby spot is super close and it’s not. You can barely see anyone through the trees. You’ll have to maneuver around a bit to find dead level, but it’s easy. Ample firewood and the river isn’t usually busy.

From Hwy 98 in Carrabelle turn north onto Hwy 67 (Tallahassee Street) and continue for close to 14 miles to the well-marked dirt road on the right for the Womack Creek Unit. Follow the well-traveled road, which turns left then right as it becomes Log Cabin Road about 2 miles. The road comes to site #23. Turn right and continue to the end of the road almost 3/4 mile. Site #25 will be on the left and #26 on the right. Please review the overall map for campsites at Tate's Hell State Forest.
