Day manager very helpful and friendly. I paid in cash, but no provisions are made for offering change. That was okay, as he deserved a tip anyway. I soon upgraded my site to a “premier” pull-thru which has a concrete pad…needed to get my small dog away from prior site’s German shepherd neighbor. Manager was gracious and accommodating, applying his “tip” to the extra $5 premier fee. Showers and bathroom kept up nicely. Would stay here again.

Only issue at 1st, was the RV parked right next to us kept there awning lights on 24/7. They were deffinantly long term monthly tenants. I than decided to extend for another 3 nights. 1st issue, when I booked the next 3 nights, I asked about the weekly rate. The guy in the office told me there was no weekly rate. There was a weekly rate posted on the website were I made my reservations. 2nd issue, the fine outstanding neighbors came in the 3rd night at 2am being very loud, yelling, parting and screaming. The 3rd issue, the next night, the fine neighbors decided to have a party in there RV being loud well past 11pm. So no, I will not stay here again, nor would I recommend this place.

We weren't murdered nor robbed. Nothing crazy happened.... we just very likely wouldn't stay at this location again. As we were leaving, we saw where some neighbors had a small party and left 5 20 packs of beer laying around and all over.

Arrival - touchpad at 1600 hrs. Tips - try to get one of the longer concrete pads vs the dirt pull-thru. We have a 36' TT and 20' TV and used EVERY inch of the site to stay hitched for the night. Negatives - site not as long as one was led to believe. Highway noise...but I didn't expect anything less right off the highway.

Part time management, no Change for laundry, gravel drives and sites, ok I guess, this is the first time I’ve used a privately owned campground I don’t think I will use one again unless absolutely necessary

The sites are a mix of sand and stone also so close together you only have room for a lawn chair. If you have a taller camper you will scratch the roof entering some of the sites from trees. Some of the residents have been here for a very very long time along with there campers ;-). Stayed for 2 days in a 38' motor home towing. Can't comment on the bathrooms didn't use them. I would not recommend this campground nor would I come back.

We saw the reviews and were enticed by the adjoining brewery! Fun place. Bar tender had great stories. Nice and clean hot showers. Reasonably priced.

We spent seven weeks at Lavaland RV Park. The park is located beside I-40 and very close to a Walmart, Denny’s, Walgreen’s, and a couple of C-stores. Lavaland is a medium size RV park that is locally owned.
The park seems to be a mix of full-time residents, long-term contractors working in the area, and short-term (many are only stopping for one night). Unfortunately, most of the full-time residents do not keep their sites and RVs clean. And, the owner apparently doesn’t care about the appearance of these sites. The transitional sites are well maintained.
As an overnight stop, Lavaland is a great option. Super convenient and reasonable rates.
For a longer stay, I believe the owner needs to make several improvements for Lavaland to become a five-star RV park. These improvements include, upgrading the parking area around the office, upgrading the laundry (one washer and one dryer is not enough), having the garbage dumpster emptied before trash is running over, expanding the office hours, and adding a kitchen to the brewery so food is available.
There is a great deal of potential at Lavaland. Any RV park with a brewery on-site has the potential to become a five-star destination, not just an overnight stop.
