This Was Our First Stop From Phoenix To Iowa. Pulled In At 4:30. A Couple RVs Already There. Separate parking for cars/RVs vs semi trucks so pretty quiet. Got a great Spot On Circular Curb (allowing For Our Slide To Be Out On Non Road Side); relatively level. On Site Security Guard Patrolled All Night. Bathrooms Very Clean. A Bonus... more

Plenty of space if you arrive early evening. Scenic view and relatively clean space to walk around. Nice facilities and great spot. Would definitely stop here again if ever passing thru.

As others have reported, this is a rest area on I-10 Eastbound at mile post 135. It's a circular thing with a few sites for RVs and some for Trucks. There is 24 security on site provided by a civilian security company. I appeared lost to the security guard as I circled, and when I pulled into a RV site, he rolled his window down and... more
As others have reported, this is a rest area on I-10 Eastbound at mile post 135. It's a circular thing with a few sites for RVs and some for Trucks. There is 24 security on site provided by a civilian security company. I appeared lost to the security guard as I circled, and when I pulled into a RV site, he rolled his window down and gave me a thumbs up! I went over and asked him if it was ok to put my slide out, and he said 'Sure, whatever I needed to do'. All of the sites are really out of the drive lanes, and we felt secure here, albeit, some of the trucks come in pretty 'hot'. Yes, there are numerous trucks throughout the night and you can hear them, but it's okay for a night.

Excellent views all around. Clean and well maintained. Several parking spots dedicated to RVs and to trucks. Check a satellite view on your map app to get an idea of the layout.
Can hear highway but it’s not bad.

Super nice place to boondock. View was breathtaking and sits on top of a small hill right next to I-10. Circular design with parking spaces on both sides, we got a nice shaded space on the left side. Super nice place to boondock. View was breathtaking and sits on top of a small hill right next to I-10. Circular design with parking spaces on both sides, we got a nice shaded space on the left side. Felt secure enough even though we did not see any personnel but a couple of security vehicles were parked nearby. Many people spent the night in their cars with even a couple tent camping. The only down side was the noise of trucks coming and going all through the night but that is expected at a rest area. Far enough to hear traffic on I-10. Definitely come back if passing through again in the future.
