The previous owner of this campground had Alzheimer's, so I hear things got bad. The new owners at least have the water working, etc. It's mainly for rock climbers, but there's no reason others can't camp here. The area near the large Quonset building has great wifi (when it works) and a covered cooking area with picnic tables. There's two small bathrooms with showers halfway down the left side of this building and two toilets with sinks in another little building. The showers were somewhat clean. Great water pressure and hot water. $3 if you're not camping. Inside the building, there's another small shower and a bigger one, which I didn't use. There's firewood available. You can also camp in the back half of the building for $10pp if you want to stay dry and not bring your tent. There were very few campers there the two weeks we were there; just a few on the weekends. It's very near Muir Valley, Miller Fork, and Pendergrass climbing areas. It's about 8 miles to Miguel's and the State Park. It's 100% sun in the upper section. At this point, you could fit any size rig in the upper section. You'd be able to turn around in front of the building. Just choose a grassy spot to park. There are no numbered sites. You are near the road and there's road noise, but not bad. If you want more seclusion, take a left after you turn off the paved road. There's camping down in the little valley on two different roads but you probably want to check it out first. There are no amenities down this road except fire rings. The birding is amazing here; at least it was while we were there the first two weeks of May. It's very quiet except for the road noise, which is hard to get away from at the Red.

The new owner also bought Natural Bridge Campground in Slade, so I think his energy is being spent there for now, though I can see this place being turned into camping cabins, etc.

FYI, the best choice of bad choices in grocery stores is the Kroger in Stanton. Stock up before you come.
