This is a Corps of Engineers location. Sewer is located on some of the sites. 30/50 amp and the water is good. Bring a water pressure reducer. It was a little high.

Beautiful sites many with views of the lake. Level and long parking spaces. Covered picnic tables. Nice bathrooms with showers. $24.00 less with Golden Age Pass. Very quiet as spaces are far apart. On our list to come back again.

Camp sites are apart. You are never crowded in. The Lake was down to 30%. This is an Army Core of Engineers site. Full hookups were available including 30/50 on each pole. Deer were spotted in the meadow between camp areas.

We’ve come here the last 3 years for a large picnic and have never been disappointed. The camp hosts and park rangers keep this place well maintained and very safe. One of my favorite places to camp. There are always lots of open sites. The lake is drying up due to the current drought and the boat ramp is closed where we are. Currently you can only take non-motorized boats on the lake and it is no wake until the lake fills back up.

We stayed there in early April this year. Good site fairly flat space after backing up a slight hill. Dumped after stay. Found by far the best BBQ 8 miles down the road at Big O’s Bbq. Well worth the short drive for some good eating on the picnic table.

Our site was perfectly level. We were at a full hookup pull through with a beautiful view if the lake.
The park is clean, and grass is kept up. We were there Tuesday through Thursday and crews were out cutting grass. This was our first time to this park and we went exploring. There were maybe 20 rigs in entire park: Lakeside and Flatrock. Area 3 in Flatrock looked bused and neglected, the rest of the areas were well kept. It was quiet and peaceful.
The lake is low due to drought but the water was clear and refreshing.
The rest room was ok, lots of dead bugs on floor, obviously they spray. Not a lot of privacy in the showers.
Was a great couple of days and we will return.

I arrived during Labor Day weekend (9/05/21). To my surprise, the park was not very crowded. Yes, there were folks boating and fishing but it wasn't loud or obnoxious. On Monday morning most of the folks that were there left to go back to work (I assume). By Tuesday, I was the only RV left of my section of the loop.
This park is HUGE!. It is spread out on both sides of the dam (Hords Creek Lake). The side nearest the entrance has sites that are lower and closer to the water. The sites on the far side of the dam are higher up but with lots of boat ramps and courtesy docks.
It took me 30 mins to an hour to explore each side by car (turning down all the roads and looking at all the sites for future visits).
It's about a 45 min drive into Abiline or Brownwood (opposite directions) if you need a big box store.
Level site, very peaceful, wish I had booked a couple of extra days.
AT&T was functional, Verizon was barely usable.

We stayed in #64 for 3 nights in mid-July and it was the first time taking out our travel trailer. It's a really nice area with plenty of room in between the sites. The site was a pull-through with full hookups, but we opted not to use the sewer hookup since we are new at this (next time). And we did not have to level the trailer at all. The restrooms near us were.... eh..... okay. Fairly clean, but no locks on the stall doors in the ladies' restroom. The showers are motion-activated so it's quite a challenge trying to dress behind the curtain without making the water come on. Also, lots of bugs in the restroom, but we're camping so that didn't bother me much. The grandkids had fun swimming in the lake and riding bikes. Coleman is not too far if you have to drive there for some supplies. Most of the time we had one bar on AT&T. All in all, I would definitely return.
