We really enjoyed our stay here. There are two sections to the park - we stayed in the 100s loop and had a site right on the water. We really enjoyed our stay here. There are two sections to the park - we stayed in the 100s loop and had a site right on the water. It is more open with less trees than the other part of the campground, but we were quite happy there. Nice to sit on the lakeshore, lounge in my hammock, and have a fire. Super nice that you can reserve online and see the map. Although the section of the park we stayed in was closer to the main road, it was quiet at night. The facilities are in the main part of the park though, so we did not use restrooms/shower. They have a walking trail through a beautiful park with moss covered trees, tons of birds, picnic tables galore, a beach, and a dog park. We thought we would owe more after reading other reviews but only paid the $20/night because we were there between Sun-Wed. Weekend prices are more. Great base camp to explore the Louisiana Bayou. Friendly staff. Full Verizon service.

We stayed in a site right next to the water. It was peaceful, except for the mosquitos and massive wind/rain storm. Definitely would stay here again.

This camping park is very nice in so many ways. Don’t miss out on the lakefront sites in the 100s numbers. Well-maintained, everything worked as expected, some sites are paved, the lakefront sites are grass but solid. Full hook ups at each side. My only issue is that with their online reservation system, it quoted and charges you off-season $20 per night, and the staff advised that we owed an additional $20 the next morning for off-season rates. Their reasoning was that the website company won’t fix the pricing. My approach is don’t pay the website company until they fix it. Staff was nice and the location really is beautiful.

Beautiful, clean city park adjacent with a nice walking trail. People are friendly. We have seen two bald eagles thus far! Its very clean and has a small marina attached. Did not use facilities due to covid. City access is good. I would give it 5 stars if they had concrete pads.

Drove down to this campground to do what we feel like is the best social distancing. We were able to camp and fish all weekend and keep 6 ft or more from anyone. This is a beautiful park with Spanish moss in every tree and the most black squirrels I have ever seen in one place. The lots give you ample space and ours was perfectly level. The southern Louisiana culture was in full swing with crawfish boils and lots of boating. We highly recommend giving this park a try if you are in the area. Beautiful park with very friendly staff.

Our site had full hookups: 30/50 amp electricity, water and sewer. The entire park is kept clean and mowed. Quiet, too. Cannot speak to bathroom facilities as we did not use them. The park also has a marina and boat launch. Lots of friendly ducks. Even spotted an alligator on the shore next to a short canal behind our trailer—he was very shy when we tried to get close enough for a good photo. Good Verizon LTE data and voice connection. The park has free wi-if and Internet, but like most, it was spotty and slow. They did tell us they are working to improve it. We recommend this park.
