if you are looking for a easy access site for a day or two, this one is excellent, but for boondocking 14 days, I think you can do better. his site sits right off the highway for very easy access with about a dozen fire rings and areas to park or camp in a small area. the area is rather for level camping. noise from the highway isn't great, but it certainly noticeable during high traffic areas and almost silent at night. I could hear a stream nearby, but was unable to find a path or trail to it or the nearby lake. for me the deal breaker was poor internet with AT&T with a booster at between 1 and 2 megabits down and under 512k going up (sometimes giving errors). ping time (the time it takes for the name server to respond) was around 1,000 (under 100 is ideal). so, after one night I left to find a location with better internet.

There is one site that is right along the creek tucked around back accessed by a private drive on the back left of the area. The creek was nice to hear but harvested a lot of mosquitoes.
This area is right off HWY 82 so you do have some road noise...but it was much quieter than we anticipated when you park further off the road. The Willis Gulch TH is just 3/10th of a mile from here hiking down 82 where you can take an amazing moderate 9 mile round trip hike to the restore 1880’s community of Interlaken on the Colorado and Continental Divide trails Or climb to Hope Pass.
We really liked this place but the three stars is for poor connectivity with Verizon. We could only make calls here even with boosters and MIMO antennas. We had extremely slow internet in the mornings but absolutely no connectivity the rest of the day. By end of day text messages would not even go out. So you may want to bring a good old fashion book!
