We made a reservation only a few weeks ahead and the only sites available were in Indian. Very expensive for what we got - an uneven gravelly parking space with a picnic table and fire pit, electrical and water. This seems to be a campground for people without backyards to have their backyard parties. About a quarter of the sites had no RV, just tents, even though the rules state that there must be an RV on site to have a tent. Many sites also had more than 8 people per site, and more than 2 cars.
They charge $20/night for a second car (max 2 vehicles, haha) which seems like a lot on top of the $60/night site fee. I have a small RV and my friends had a SUV with rooftop tent, so we took up much less room than many truck and trailer rigs. No sewer but the dump station is next door and seemed to be less crowded than the dump station near the entrance (I did not have to wait when leaving Sunday AM.)
Our neighbors played loud music all night and refused to turn it down when we politely asked around 10:30 (quiet hours start 10 PM). We called and with a lot of patience made it through the automated menus to the front gate, and they said that some one would be by to ask them to be quiet. I also mentioned they had no RV and 10-12 people. We doused our fire and went to bed around 11 because we could not hear each other talk over their music. I put in my earplugs and noticed the music stopped around 12:30-1 AM, though I don't know if it was their choice of if the host finally made it around. They also left trash all around which attracted bees and flies, despite the dumpsters being across from their site. And to top it off, the neighbors on the other side brought a large bird in a cage set outside that started squawking around 6 AM.
There are only 2 primitive portos to serve the 30 sites, many of which as I mentioned do not have RVs, and I didn't dare look at them. My friends in their rooftop tent had originally planned to use the camp toilets, but I let them use my RV bathroom since it was so bad.
Indian campground is away from the lake and the sites are crowded and not scenic, so I would not recommend Indian campground. Maybe some of the other campgrounds have better, quieter camping.

We have stayed mid week in May and it’s very quiet and peaceful, good bird watching. Last year we had water and electric hookups and this year we have full hookups, we were confused last year, so to clarify, “Deluxe” is no sewer hookup, “Executive” is with sewer. Sites are good sized and behind is are good views. Both times we had level concrete pads, but some sites in the park are dirt/gravel.

I would stay in F if staying longer as they are full hookups. Overall a great campground and I would come again.

Negatives were the site is all dirt so lots of cleaning in the motorhome after our trip from all the dirt tracked in and that’s even with taking our shoes off at the door. The lake is far it’s not close prob a mile and a half from this campsite if I had to guess. Also no body contact for this lake not even a toe. Also bunch of people tent camping around us with tons of vehicles and asking if they can put their vehicle on my spot. Kinda ghetto in that respect. So prob wouldn’t stay here again.

We’ve camped here before but this time they have kicked out all of the camp hosts which over the weekend creates loud parties long into the night the restrooms aren’t as well kept and the sites aren’t as clean as they used to be. Mainly the late night parties were problematic but not the end of the world. Just sad that the hosts who have been here 10-18yrs have been kicked out due to some stupid federal intervention into the way casitas is ran apparently. Overall it’s still a nice place to camp and all of the Fox sites are probably the better sites to stay in although some are not too level. There is abundant bird watching and even some wildlife as well. Had no problem with the power or water and had good satellite TV reception (park cable is also a thing of the past) and Verizon cell reception was a solid three bars.

We then had to back down the road, turn around and back down the road so we could get into the site. Power went out several times due to low voltage. Neighbors were super noisy, don't care if your are Dodgers fans and it's the World Series, you do NOT need to be screaming at 1 AM with the outside TV blaring.
Bathrooms were closed, porta potties only and for a campground this size only having 2 dump stations that could accomodate 1 RV at a time is ridiculous. We waiting in line over an hour to dump.
Dirty sites, cigarette butts and bear tops all over, other trash in the fire pits.
For the price we paid you would think we'd at least have a clean park.
Over priced, dirty sites, won't be back.

Our site was long enough to stay hooked up and had a little space in the sides. Beautiful old trees surrounded the area. Registration told us that sites in E loop were level but they were not. They were uneven dirt and small. We would stay as an overnight but not a destination. The roads inside the recreation area are horrible. They are rutted old asphalt and dirt.

Over 400 sites brocken into several campgrounds/sections (letters A through O) are spread along the lake road. We chose E over I because there were fewer sites and they were farther apart. The fanciest RV sites, that also cost more per night, are in campground F (Fox). Those seem to have concrete pads, grass and full hookups.
Our camp, E, has water and 30/20 amp electric, but no sewer hookup. Not a problem as there are two dump stations within the Lake Casitas recreation area, free if you are staying at the park. Our site was flat, wide and quiet. There was occasional road and car stereo noise from vehicles driving along the lakeshore road, but there are bumps all along the road that keep speeds low.
The lake is big enough to fish and launch a boat. No swimming is allowed, but there is a Water Park that you can go into for an additional day fee. There is also lots of picnicking, bike trails and disc golf.
