We visited Jackson on a Monday in October. Town was bustling. Visitor Center/Chamber of Commerce confirmed what I had read about street parking or parking in the public lots overnight - don’t do it. I wanted my husband to have a break & watch Monday night football so we opted for this location. It is right downtown just two blocks from Town Square.
Many workers utilize the cabins and there are a lot of people around. Noisy early in the morning.
Welcome Center across the parking lot has nice bathrooms and water bottle filler.
Expensive for what it is but that’s the area. There is electric if you need it.

Kind of noisy being right in the middle of town, but quieted up in the evening.
Being in town is certainly convenient. Overall though with the Wi-Fi not actually working, I wish I hadn’t spent $100 on the night.

It’s our fourth time back to Kudar and it’s our favorite stop in Jackson proper. Yes, there’s a few luxury RV resorts nearby. Yes, there’s great park or off-grid spots outside town. But if you are looking to be walkable to the square with a friendly family-owned spot, go with Kudar. For one, it’s less expensive than the fancier spots further outside town. But also it’s walkable! We can wake up and walk our pups a block to Cowboy Coffee. We can walk to dinner, go see live music, and no need to worry about getting home - only a couple blocks away!
The full hookup spots are tight, but Kudar is clear about how much space they have. The dry grassy site is our favorite - lots of space. But no hookups which is okay by us as there are dump stations at gas stations in town and we can top off batteries with our generator during the day.
Our favorite thing is the owners are kind. They’re always accommodating when they can be and have twice gone out of their way to help us out with finding a spot. Can’t beat a good local family who cares.
It’s not frilly. If that’s what you want go 15 minutes south to the Virginian, but we have not found them quite as friendly and we’ve stayed there three times. If we want to be downtown in Jackson, we’ll be at Kudar.
Cmahoney would stay here again
