For us, this wouldn't work as we needed to get into town for Christmas gatherings each day. Two or miles down the dirt road wouldn't help us out.
The spot that is marked in this review is only .5 miles in on the right. There's a nice circle set up that can handle 2 or 3 larger rigs. (There is also a very large flat area to the right JUST before the cattle guard. BUT, close to the road.)
We opted to stay here (at the .5 mile in mark) . It's encased by hills so shielded from the wind some.
This location would be an epic place deeper in, if one is to stay for a length of time.
The sign for 4x4 advised at the entrance must be relative only much, much farther in. Again, we drove in 2 miles and the road was exceptional.

No one is using this secluded area, and you should. Great cell service. We were the only ones there. Drive about 2 miles on the road and you will see options to pull in on the right. The mountain view was great. No issue with bugs. Our verizon cell service was good.
There are a few other spots along the road but probably due to under utilization they just aren't as cleared and obvious to pull into.

Great private spot way about 3 miles off HWY 89. Super shady with trees and has some nice man made fire pits already here. No issue pulling our 22ft camper with our ram 1500 back here. A lot of little cut offs the deeper you go too so just fyi if you see a few spots that aren’t screaming “stay here” there are more the deeper you go!

There are e few spots in the hollow to the right after 0.5 mile (red marker). We kept on going because of the view until we were 1.5 miles in (easy drive!) until the perfect location on a dirt track (gray marker). It took patience and some borads to get back there but well worth it. We went about 3 miles but didn't see any others sites unless you want to camp along the road, where it's wide enough.
PLEASE PICK YOUR TRASH!!!

Then .1 mike up, past a non-level site with a fire ring on the right, we turned L onto another completely level dirt road. It was dark so we just parked as soon as we turned L and the wide open panoramic views in the morning were beautiful! This was a very quiet location and there was no one else around. Had 2 bars Verizon service.

Had to go slow with our 30 ft RV but found a nice incredibly secluded spot with a great view and a fire ring. The site was pretty empty overall - didn't see another car.
