This is the trailhead for the Buckskin Gulch hike. There are no “no overnight parking” signs so it seems legit to stay here. That said, this is a trailhead so cars will be coming and going and if it’s crowded they’ll probably think you’re a jerk for camping here.
Besides the trailhead lot at the end of the road (which has a pit toilet) there is a small “overflow” lot closer to House Rock Valley Road. If you plan to set up for the night you may be better off here as you’ll be out of the way of the hikers.
Sections of House Rock Valley Road are made of clay and if it gets wet you will sink up to your axles and no matter how awesome you think your 4x4 truck is. You will also create huge ruts which will solidify when the road dries out and everyone else who tries to drive this road will hate you for it until the next time it’s graded.
Day use permits are required for hikers ($6 per person as of Dec 2018).
