Overall Rating

We have stayed a few times in this park and like it. The campground has three areas, one at Kentucky Lake, one at Alleyne Lake and one between the two overlooking the ponds. We've stayed at the 'in-between' area a couple of times because it is the most open and easiest to get into. The spots are pull-through and near the access road. If you want to go fishing or want to be near the lake, the other two campground areas would probably be better.
The access road is paved and quite easy to navigate. The road down to the Kentucky Lake area is a bit tight but should be doable in any rig.
This park is a bit higher in altitude so in the late summer and early spring it can get cool. One year we had frost at night in late September.
