We were one of two campers here on June 12, 2018. There are only 6 spots, and vehicles that are long and must be level may have a challenge. Each site has a cast concrete picnic table and fire ring. Sites 1 and 2 are closest to the very clean vault toilet. The other sites may be buggier due earlier in the summer season. There were just a few skeeters hovering around our van. Originally we planned to stay at Page Springs CG but the mosquitos were super dense and hungry. Since it was 88 degrees at Page Springs, we headed to higher elevations, arriving at the locked Gate #2. Jackman Park sits just outside this gate.

The next morning, we mountain biked up past the locked gate all the way up to the Kiger
Gorge Overlook on freshly graded, well-packed gravel road (about 5 miles and 1200 feet elevation gain). What a fine reward as we had the road to ourselves.

We had decent enough 2 bars of Verizon LTE with our booster from the campground, and very good reception the higher we got along the Steens Mountain Loop Road.

Dinged for cleanliness because the grass hadn't yet been trimmed this early in the season, but likely would be very soon. Two stars off because the sites were difficult to level, and some very short.
