The interwebs says FedEx, UPS, etc. trucks have been seen delivering to sites. Could someone confirm this?

Make sure to check in at the registration office up the road near the KOA first, and before 6pm. The hookups have wear but can’t beat the location right on the beach. All were long pull through lots with plenty of space.

OMG it is nothing but ants. Fire ants, sugar ants. Everything covered in ants.
Great location to watch SpaceX That was the only reason I was here

To bad the park is so run down. Utilities strung across the ground, hardly any grass, restrooms closed, just very little maintenance in general. They seem to be spending lots of money on new construction of something near the beach but nothing on the campground.
High rental rate for the amenities provided.

We stayed here 5 nights and enjoyed our stay. It is a very large park and we had no problems with our connections. It was a short walk to the beach from our site. The site was deep with plenty of room for our tow vehicle.

Access to the beach was very close. We were in the minority only being here a couple days. It appears many people settle in for the winter. Uggg.
This was our first time with all hook ups. I was surprised how primative the water and sewer were. But I’ll enjoy an easy dump when I leave. I hope.

Seriously, its a patch of grass in an RV parking lot, that has bathrooms next to it. No shade, no privacy, no marked sites, no picnic tables, no grills or fire pits, nothing. The grass has prickers in it, and you are camping in a parking lot. Its loud, but that's to be expected since its Spring Break. People generally quieted down at 2am. (And by quieted down, I mean, no longer walking through the park with a boombox blasting on their shoulders.)
Also, camping in a tent for the night put you far away from the beach. You are allowed to walk in to the main RV part of the park to get to the beach, but if you want to drive over there, you have to pay to get to the beach. Camping in a tent does not cover beach access. Its nuts. Would definitely NOT camp there again. I'm sure its fine for some college students that just need to sleep in their car, but for $30/night, they should be ashamed of themselves. ALSO! Mosquitoes were really bad-- a few got in our tent and I came home looking like I had chicken pox.

Isla Blanca Park is a huge RV park occupying the entire southern tip of South Padre Island. It offers oceanfront and shipping channel views with the jetty separating the two. Folks were fishing, surfing, and, of course, enjoying the beach. The sand this far south is much more sugary than the northern Texas coast. It sort of reminds me of the beaches of Destin, but more finely ground than the white sands of the Florida panhandle.
The check-in center is in a smallish building about 300-500 yards before the park entrance on the right. If you're eyeballing the Shlitterbahn Waterfront Resort on the left, you'll pass it by and have to make a u-turn at the park gate (like I did). They'll give you paper gate tickets at check-in to get you into the gate (the gate pass is part of the rate). There's a $3 service up-charge for using plastic, vice cash.
Many, if not most, of the RV's parked seem to be permanently so... like mobile vacation homes. Several no longer looked road-worthy. We pulled in without reservations and managed to get a site (full hookups) close to the beach for the night. The much smaller KOA is just down the street, as are several highly rated (by tripadvisor) restaurants. You can walk to some. I ate at the Sea Ranch (an easy walk from the park) and enjoyed the dinner there.
Mosquitos... they were atrocious, to say the least. If the sun went behind the clouds or, heaven-forbid, down, they came out in droves. It's been a wet spring and early summer for Texas this year, and the island is part of the Rio Grande river valley area, so I'll try to temper my judgement on this matter. However, I saw no evidence that the city, county, or state officials were trying to help correct this menace. When the sun was out, simply spraying some of the shadowy areas near shelters would have killed literally hundreds of thousands of the little blood-sucking, disease-transmitting hypodermic needles with wings. They made using park restroom facilities impossible. They made enjoying evening walks on the beach or through the park without Deep-Woods Off impossible. They were the principal reason I only stayed for one night - my original plan was two.
South Padre is effectively a one-road town... with the park at one end, and a desolate road ending in sand dunes at the other end with a lot of touristy stuff to the south, closer to the RV park. To the north you can drive on the ocean and bayside beaches. At night, traffic is at a dead stop trying to cross the bridge to the mainland, so staying on the island was a relief when done taking in all the attractions for the day (save the mad dash to the trailer to avoid the mosquitos).

It is a beautiful place that is well maintained with very easy beach access. Make a note that the office to check-in is a couple hundred yards before the park entrance. We found out the hard way that if you miss it it's a bit of a pain to turn around and head back to it towing a camper.
