A reasonably good place for a night. There were only 3 of us at this campground on a Friday evening. The road in is wide and well graveled but yes there are many potholes. Just go slow. There is no signage on the way here saying this exists. Now that we have found this, it may become a regular stopover spot for us.

Camp sites are easy to get into. It does have some road noise given that it is right off the interstate. Plenty of space between neighbors. Has room for animals or kids to stretch their legs and play.

I stayed May 19,2024 for one night. The road in is awful, sooo many huge potholes. We barely made it in. When I got there at 3pm it was packed. I luckily got a spot and it was fine for the night.

Only two other campers in the area, nice and quiet, beautiful night stars, we felt very secure.. we would definitely stay here again.

A mile of washboard and potholes but it hasn’t deterred us yet! Campsites are nicely spaced from one another and freeway noise is minimal. 2 bars on Verizon.

Road is washboard rough. Need to be fully self contained. I-15 is a little bit noisy. There are some really cool petroglyphs here.

The road in is a little rough so take it slow. We arrived around 4:30 on a Tuesday and there were about 3 spots on the loop left to choose from. T mobile service was strong.

The AT&T data speed, without a booster, was 30 down / 10 up. With a booster, it was 30 down / 24 up. Teams screen-sharing calls were seamless.

Interested in what this place use to be? It was a State Park until 1983 when it closed due to a State budget crisis and never reopened. The land was purchased by the State from the BLM for 2.50 an acre and upon its closure returned to the BLM sometime later.
From Rickjust.com:
Park planners hoped campers would stop on their way to Yellowstone National Park. They also hoped a planned reservoir nearby would attract boaters and fishermen. The US Army Corps of Engineers decided there was not enough public support for building a reservoir on nearby Marsh Creek. The park closed in 1983 during a state budget crisis, and it never reopened.
The visitor center once stood where the first pull off is on the way into the BLM camping area.
