Nice primitive site right next to the lake. Didn't even detach from truck, level site. Generator noise is a around, but is dampened with nature and space. Water hook ups can be a 100' hose away, pretty convienent.
Josh would stay here again

The price I paid reflects my America the Beautiful Pass senior discount.
This is a very nice campground in the Sabine National Forest with sites on the water (Toledo Bend Reservoir) as well as inland. I stayed in Bull Creek CG. There is water available throughout the campground. Each site has a picnic table and fire ring. The restrooms are sani-cans but they are clean and regularly maintained. Most sites can accommodate big rigs with additional parking for a towed vehicle. There were only two occupied sites when I arrived and both were vacated during my stay so I had the entire CG to myself. The CG is a mixture of oak and pine trees and the ground was carpeted in a layer of leaves that kept dirt out of the RV.
The weather is very mild this time of year, however a severe thunder storm rolled in off the Gulf of Mexico during my stay that initiated a tornado warning in the area... that was a bit un-nerving. I'm glad to say I had no issues other than a difficult time getting to sleep.
I would definitely stay here again.
