Overall Rating
Access: Exit from fwy onto strip of pavement for parking. There is parking on either side, no diagonal parking like shown in one of the photos. We parked on the right side so we could put the stairs and kitchen slide out, but it was tricky because of the high curb. We had to get pretty close and find a shorter one for our stairs to make it over. Lots of parking, only a couple truckers stopped here.
Area: This picnic area is on top of a hill with flat on either side so it was pretty darn windy and we had to put the stabilizers down. We got here at night and it is really dark (no city lights close by) so we could see tons of stars. There are a few picnic tables and barrel size trash bins. Lots of space to walk the dog, but a bit gravelly. The lot parallels the fwy so it was quite noisy, but not too bad for what it is.
