We stayed here on our way through Atlanta in Dec of 2022. We have visited here for several years and watched as the marina has improved and the campground has fallen to disrepair. The entrance is gated but surrounded by a boat yard that hides the dump station. (We couldn’t dump and leave through the gate without creative backing) The campground is at the base of a hill and has a few very nice sites that face the lake but VERY small, crumbling interior roads. When the marina is full, the cars take over all available spots and RVs must squeeze through them and navigate large pot holes to enter/leave. There is a family of ducks that have taken over several sites (including ours) and I had difficulty keeping them out of my truck and trailer while there. AT&T Down: 44.72mbps Up: 1.65mbps Streaming: 1.5mbps Verizon Down: 95.09mbps Up: 6.83mbps Streaming: 4.1mbps Starlink: (didn’t put out - too many trees)
Unless major investment is put into the campground, we do not plan to return.

This campground does kinda seem like an afterthought to a great marina, but we loved it. Our son, daughter in law and 5 of our grand kids had the largest campsite we’ve ever seen and it was lakefront. We had a good site with a duck sitting on a nest full of eggs right by our rear bumper.
We rented a pontoon boat with a deck, a slide and a 200hp motor. We drove the 2-3 minutes from the dock to the campsite, loaded everyone up and had a hugely enjoyable time.
The dump station is small and awkward to get into, the front office people weren’t overly friendly, and our campsite had some trash we had to pick up but we really enjoyed our time here.
If you’re looking for top shelf camping, this ain’t it. If you wanna overlook some minor irritants and have fun, this may be a place for you.

It's a rainy weekend in GA so no campfire. :( The fire ring is clean and ready for use.
We will definitely come back to this spot in a few months.

We stayed here on October 23rd. We were traveling and managed to get a spot here last minute. We arrived just after the office closed and with the property being gated, we had to track someone down to get us in. One of the folks at the Restaurant was finally able to help us. Spot #17 was an interesting spot. Between two trees on the top of the hill. After threading the trees, we had to back up quite a bit to get the truck and trailer in the spot. Putting the rear jacks down took some extra work. Lots of pine needles and it took some leveling to get it all set for the night. There were lots of other spots that were unique, but some were right on the lake. Not bad for a night’s stay, but we we would be more selective if we were to return.

The website says "you will enjoy the fact that all of our sites have ample space between rigs. We don't believe in cramming sites together instead the average distance between sites is 30 yards." This is LAUGHABLE. Our site was maybe 20 feet from the neighboring rigs, and was situated between two trees that were borderline impossible to pull between, especially when backing a trailer in.
We arrived after the office was closed, and there was no after-hours checkin information provided...no map, no instructions, nothing. The next day, the office called hinting that we were going to be charged for not returning a "gate card" that was never provided and I wouldn't have known how to find, given their total lack of checkin materials.
The whole site is very uneven and was widely strewn with dozens of random vehicles and utility trailers, with bumpy, narrow, and completely unmarked paths. Website's description is a gross misrepresentation of the setting and even though we are not typically very picky about sites, this one was totally deficient. NOT recommended.

We stayed at Holiday Harbor to give it a try since all the public campsites in the area were full. The staff were friendly and stayed after closing time (5pm) to check us in.
Getting in was a little tricky there were cars parked in the RV checkin lane and boats and boat trailers just about everywhere. There wasn’t any signage indicating where to drive to which site numbers and the turns were a little tight in places.
Our site was right on a corner so it took some time to get into the site. The water and electricity hookups were on opposite side of the site and we ended up having to go to Walmart to buy a longer water hose.
We decided to leave a day early since I was worried about the dump-station being really busy and hard to get to. Boy was I right it was easy enough to get in but getting out once again took some backing up and maneuvering because it is a tight circle and there are a bunch of boats standing around. Another negative is they didn’t have a water connection or hose there to rinse your pipes.
Overall Holiday Harbor was disappointing especially since there are so many other awesome places to stay in the area. I would not stay there again.

This is more of a marina with some campsites by the docks. There are only two generic individual non-airconditioned bathrooms with showers near the office. The whole place is not well maintained and actually looks like there are unfinished projects everywhere. We had read other marginal reviews, but were ready to stop for the night, so we called just before the office closed at five o'clock and the gal answered and graciously set us up for after-hours arrival. The dump station there is only operational on Mondays and Thursdays and then only during certain hours; I surmise it is more for the live-aboards. Too rustic for us, although the lake is picturesque. We will try other places nearby before coming back here.

Ended up here only because not else was available. That said, the Holiday Harbor staff were friendly and helpful. The power and water hook-ups functioned, even though damaged. Showers are available, but far from the campground. There is not a dump site on the property, which was disappointing for the rate.
