This county campground takes the America the Beautiful Pass or an ADA Accessibility Pass, but you will need to call the office at 770-607-6245 to add the pass to your account for the discount before making reservations. If you are a big rig, it would be wise to call the office and have them assist you in choosing a site that will accommodate a larger rig. Our RV GPS and Waze brought us right to the campground (CG). There is also signage to verify that you are going the right way until you see the CG entrance. We pulled into the gate area and were checked in by the attendant on duty. During the process, she wanted to be sure how to navigate the CG to pull through site 16 with water and electric (50/30/20 AMP) due to the size of our rig. After confirming with her husband the best route, we drove to the site going through a small one-way road, which was no issue. As our rig is 40', we needed to watch the trees on a couple of corner turns and then pull down into our site. We got the rig into the levelist position possible to get our rig’s steps down to an assessable position and fairly level, but we did need to add levelers to our steps and the passenger-side tires. Other than that, it’s a great site with a deck, patio, stand-up BBQ, picnic table, and fire pit overlooking the lake. We were told, and noticed, that all the sites in this quaint little county park have a water view. The water pressure was good at around 55 psi and we got 1 bar on Verizon. There are a lot of mature trees here, but we were able to get a clear north sky shot for Starlink. It was a pleasant surprise to find that the restroom/shower house had a fairly new washer ($3) and dryer ($2) that only took credit cards. They have an interesting dump station set up where you climb a fairly steep hill. This station would be good for shorter rigs. On our 40’ Brinkley with two black tanks, getting the back tank would be at a downhill angle and we believe we would scraped going up the slope. We had to stay a couple of extra days to get our truck fixed and the attendants were more than accommodating. This is a nice park, especially for fishermen and we enjoyed our time here.

Sites on Allatoona 'river', but they drain it in the winter-we were there in January. They LOCK the gate at 10pm sharp. One night we had to park outside the gate (on the road) and walk in to our site when it was 29F. Good for small rigs and for spring-autumn. Great for fishing!

This campground was a small hidden gem that provided a welcome reprieve after 500 miles of driving! We arrived in the early afternoon. Check in was easy and the site was easy to find. The campground only has 24 sites so its fairly small. Do yourself a favor though and get a lake view, most are anyway. Ours was perfect with a view of the lake, trees for our hammocks and a deck to pull up our RV next to!
Now down to brass tax...we had to use a couple blocks for our site but it wasn't terribly unlevel. It was a back in and the pavement was a little narrow to my liking considering it was on a hill.
Signal was ok, we used our T-Mobile hotspot and it worked just fine.
Bathrooms were not too bad. Relatively clean, but not the cleanest or nicest we've been to.
The only problem we had which was our first time having this issue were sugar ants crawling up our wheel wells and into the RV, fun times! For anyone who needs this tip, we put a line of campfire ash around the wheels and on the power and waterlines since ants don't like to walk over powder. Baby powder and diatomaceous earth apparently work too. A spray of vinegar and lemon juice helps kill the ants on contact and clear any paths they made.
Overall...a nice quiet recharge before we hit the road again.

Check in was simple enough & the lady in the office was friendly. We were assigned site 22 for our 36 ft fifth wheel. As we were analyzing our spot, the lady from the office was coming after us on her golf cart. She wanted to let us know that her husband, who was in the office too, said he didn’t think our trailer would fit in that spot. She took my husband to look at another site but after looking at both my husband said we could get in site 22. Well we should have listened to the lady’s husband and gone to site 6. We got the trailer unhitched and was trying to adjust our jacks but the way the site was we couldn’t get our jacks down low enough for them to come back up! Ugh! My husband spent probably and hour working on our jacks. Once we got the jacks up we hitched back up to the truck and went to site 6. It wasn’t bad getting backed in to this spot just as long as you stay to the left of the sites, otherwise you will take a chance of testing your back Jack off or even your bumper. Once we got in the spot it was amazing!! Our back window and dining table looked onto the lake. We had a sunny site even though there were trees around us. Since it wasn’t in the summer, it was perfect. We could hear traffic noise as we were close to the entrance of the park but when you needed it to be quiet, bedtime, this was a non-issue
The site had a picnic table, a bbq grill and a fire pit and most were back-in, unless you have no slide outs.
I believe all have water and electricity but no sewer. Unless of course you are dry camping.

A few sites while great for shorter rigs, are too short for medium to long rigs. For example, our site #19 is a super site with a fantastic view, but was very difficult to maneuver our 26’ travel trailer into.
Attendant says the campground is open year round.

lovely campground on the lake - we enjoyed our visit here though we were just passing through.
camp host@gate very nice & helpful.
my only quarrel was with the site we were given: site 11. it was one of the most challenging sites to get into and not meant for our 25’ trailer. with over 1/2 the campground empty it was unbelievable that they assigned us this site. also i asked cassidy who booked us if there was any train noise and was told no....yes! there is train noise. other campgrounds close by had reviews mentioning train noise all night. and i wanted to avoid it since we are traveling hard to get to a family emergency.
the host was nice and had offered to move us since when we passed through the gate she realized how small and sloped the site was for us but she came 25 min later and we already had the levelers down and chocks in. site 11 power is not located near the water but up a hill. very odd layout.
we probably would stay at the south campground next time. she mistakenly put us here as well.
but we are not ones for trains so that is probably doubtful.

We stayed at Clark Creek South (not North - there are two campgrounds but the north side is the only one listed here on Campedium) for one night on our way north to Tennessee. We knew nothing of the area, but the campground was in the right location for our stop, and we were lucky enough to get a last minute reservation for a Saturday night.
The entire campground is very nice. Sites are spread out, so you don't really have a neighbor right next to you, although there are a few weirdly placed sites (like the one next to ours) that some may not like. For example, there was another site right at the the drive entrance for our site, and a pop-up camper was there. They had little parking, so it could be an issue for someone with a rig bigger than ours when trying to back-in to #9. We saw a few other similarly placed sites, and the map doesn't really show it.
Our site however was clean, level, and had a gorgeous view of the lake.
The bath houses were okay, but up the steep road, and we didn't use them. The sandy beach area was a nice area to hang out for a cool swim.

Great park. Only about 30% full on the nights we stayed 17 & 18 Dec. Host/attendant was super helpful. We didn't plan to, but arrived after sunset and the host led us to the site and gave me backing instructions. Site was level. Bathroom/shower rooms functional but we didn't use. Would go back.
