Our campsite is one of the few sites in Loop A with lots of shade. The campground drive is paved, the pad is paved, table and fire ring at the campsite. Water and trash are located nearby, the very clean modern restrooms are next to the campsite. The trails to Hoh Rain Forest are located in Loop B, a short distance from our campsite. This campground is definitely a great place to begin exploring the awesome rain forest.

Great spot, I found C and B areas had better more forested spots than A area. During this Memorial Day weekend, there may have been maybe 5 other sites occupied at the most during this time. There was plenty of rain and the rainforest doesn't disappoint. Loop C is probably the most scenic but RV spots are harder to find.
The restrooms were clean and no one ever in them. If you need water, the only outlet is at the restrooms. I hooked up a hose and filled up our water tank on departure. Wish I would have seen it on the way in!
Overall, very quiet and great hiking and close to the Visitor Center. Off season there are only rangers there Friday-Sunday at the Visitor Center.
We have the Senior Lifetime NFS Card and saved the $30 dollar park entrance fee and the campsite was $12 instead of $24.
It was a great experience, we would go again, but that time of the year, 4 nights would have been better. A little too much rain. On arrival it was sunny and beautiful.

The road getting there is long and worth the trip. Campsites are a bit smaller than advertised. Ours Site 25 was a tight fit for our 28ft trailer and F 250. Loved hiking, remember it is a rainforest so be ready for rain and mud on the trains.
Overall great time.

The sites are decent sized but the parking pad is smallish, made for tents and vans. A few people squeezed in bigger rigs. There are sites along the Hoh river but those were all full when I arrived around 1pm on a weekday. Only loop A was open. It's a loop, with sites inside the loop and on the perimeter. I chose site 8 on the perimeter, it was one of the more private spots. The visitor center parking lot is just on the other side of a belt of trees and a street sweeper was beeping loudly in the parking lot at 7am for quite a while. The bathrooms are freshly renovated and very clean. There's a nice accessible single bathroom.

Be prepared for rain - it is a rainforest. There are no hookups, and during the winter when we stayed, there is no water available. Gorgeous scenery. Sites are first-come, first-served; we had no problems getting a site but we arrived around 1pm on a March Saturday. The weather was gorgeous, and most (but not all) sites filled up.

We were only able to spend a single night here and regret not having more time! The drive in off of hwy 101 is about 18mi with quite a few pull off spots for dramatic views. We stayed Christmas Day 2019 so the campground was empty except for one other camper. Loop B & C were closed but we walked around a bit and noted at least 30 total sites that could handle a rig 30’ or less. Only saw two sites in loop C that offered electric.
Loop A butt’s up right to the river with roughly 10 sites with a few feet. There is a free dump station (closed in winter) for campers to use and the bathrooms were well maintained. There are no showers. The visitors center is a few hundred yards away with three trail heads (0.8, 1.2, and 18mi). There’s even a “mini” trail a nearly 0.2mi in length for those with little kids or who struggle with mobility. The 0.8mi trail offers dramatic views of old forest with large trees. 1.2mi hike brings you into the new forest with shorter vegetation and skits along the river. Overall the trails are easy with little elevation change.
We are already planning on our next visit!

We absolutely loved our stay here (9/5-9/7)! We arrived on a weekday and the campground was fairly empty, so we were able to grab a great spot in the A loop with easy access to the restrooms and the trails to the visitor center. The campground is first come, first serve, dry camping, and the dump station was out of service while we were there.
There are both back-in and pull- through sites with concrete pads, fire rings, and picnic tables. Some tight turns and low-hanging trees but our 32’ fifth wheel managed just fine. Plenty of wildlife, including deer, rabbits, birds, squirrels, and numerous banana slugs.
The visitor is an easy walk from the campground. The hiking trails were simply gorgeous and we definitely did not stay long enough to thoroughly enjoy this area of Olympic National Park.
Nearby Forks, WA is a 45 minute drive from the campground.
Two bars of Verizon LTE but it varied throughout the park.
A note about the drive in: We are very glad we arrived on a weekday! The road into this campground is narrow, and there were times we were driving over the centerline to keep our rig on the road. There is no shoulder for most of the drive and we did not want to meet any oncoming traffic with a rig as long as ours. It’s doable but take it slow!
