We arrived around 3:30 on a Saturday afternoon and the office was already closed, but that was fine. You hear a little highway noise it not enough to mess with your sleep. We didn’t use the laundry or showers. Everything looked clean. Some spaces were a little tight, but overall, a great place to stop. Loved the metal art throughout the park!!!

Campground is very well maintained. Drives are all paved. Pads are of varying lengths back in and pull through with FHU. Rec room, laundry, shower, erc.
Grounds are groomed and staff helpful and friendly.
Only down side, several of the washing machines were out of service.
Very easy access from the Interstate.

After traveling the country for 21,000 miles and staying in a variety of RV parks, High Desert ranks right up there as one of the better parks. We ended our trip here while waiting for our new home to be ready. The park is clean and individual sites are well maintained. Showers are awesome, laundry facilities are clean and there are 3 Dog turnouts with pooper scoopers. The office staff is friendly and helpful. The only negative is the noise from Route 40 but honestly, it wasn’t a big issue for us.

We stayed here for five days in mid-December and enjoyed this campground. Facilities were very clean and well-maintained. Sites were basically level and on gravel (roads in the campground are paved). Easy to book online and check in online. There was a mix-up with sites when we arrived (someone in our site that we’d already checked into on the drive there), but the office staff resolved it quickly and got us into another spot.
There are showers and laundry facilities in both the main office building and in a satellite building on the western edge of the campground. The stand-alone showers were well-heated and had their own sinks, toilets, and showers, with plenty of hooks (a real luxury!). Seemed like those satellite bathrooms were clean about 80% of the time. Most washers and dryers were $2.00. Several pet areas around the park that weren’t ever crowded. Our only (very minor) complaint is that the public trash cans around the campground seemed to be full most of the time. Otherwise, this place is generally clean. Good Sam Discount was only $1 per night.
It took us 15-20 minutes to get into Albuquerque proper. We enjoyed the Bosque trail and the botanical garden’s River of Lights Christmas display (which was well worth $14/person!). We also drove up to Los Alamos one day (1.5 hours away) and Santa Fe (1 hour).
We would stay here again.

Pros: you can get mail, affordable rate (monthly is 640 + electric), propane on site when they are there to fill it. Mostly quiet though there have been about 5 instances of cops coming for various reasons? Dog fences are allowed. End caps for pull throughs have decent space. Great T-Mobile home coverage, appears of have good starlink as well - no trees. Multiple dog parks arguably the biggest we’ve seen
Cons: front staff seems to always be mean? Normally I wouldn’t comment on that but… they just seem… mean / unhelpful. Lots of long time residents have entitlement attitude - either using no leashes on their dogs with zero recall or letting their dogs wander all over sites that aren’t theirs.
This park is a little out of the city, seemingly 15-20 minutes from most things. The most frustrating thing however is how incredibly smelly this park is?? It smells like a giant poop 40% of the time. The rest of the time it’s fine, but when it smells it is gag inducing from INSIDE your own trailer. I have woken up several nights thinking my dogs crapped all over the trailer only to realize, no, that’s just how the air smells.. not sure what on earth they’re doing with the waste treatment but it’s gotta be unsanitary.

We arrived for our extended stay and have been very pleased with the friendly staff and amenities. We haven’t used the showers or restrooms, but they look very clean and nice. 3 dog parks make the dogs happy. Laundry facilities are great (coin op) in the main office which also has a couple showers & bathrooms, pool tables, pinball, big screen tv, full kitchen, and snacks/drinks/limited rv supplies for purchase. If staying for long periods, they allow package delivery. Lots of seasonal residents and a few permanent residents. Level pull through and back in, red gravel sites. Paved drives. Neat metal sculptures throughout the park. There’s a trail behind the park that looks like it goes on for miles, but we haven’t explored that yet. Close enough to Albuquerque for day trips, but far enough away to escape the big city. Wifi is basically unusable, but our T-Mobile 5G Home Internet router gets 4-5 bars of 5G for fast internet. AT&T has 5 bars of 4G. Great little park for us while we are in between homes. Road noise can be a little much sometimes, but overall not bad. Love’s is close by as well as multiple RV dealers for parts and service needs. Propane refilling on site as well.
