We stayed here July 12-13, 2022. My gosh, we're loving these Corp of Engineers campgrounds. Half price with America the Beautiful pass. This one was listed as 20amp standard electric, but our site had full hook-ups. Almost level paved stream-side site... awesome! This campground has some tight turns but we did OK with a 24' trailer. Plenty of big rigs, so they must have done OK. Some people park their trucks half on the road so it can be a little tight. Close to town and Hot Springs NP. And don't miss Mountain Tower, a 216 foot observation tower that overlooks the whole area. Kind of cool. We didn't use facilities as we use own with full hook-up, so I can't report on those.

This camp ground is dreamy! Full hook ups! Paved sites. And 1.5miles from town with trail or you can drive.

Full hookups, friendly staff, and a nice shady campground. The sites along the creek are the nicest, but they’re all good sites. State Highway 7 Spur is right next to the campground, but traffic is fairly slow moving as it’s windy and narrow. Only 1 1/2 miles to Magic Springs and super close to downtown.

We decided to hike which was a good 1.5 miles to the town of Hot Springs which included some pretty steep grades. The park itself is a row of restored bathhouses that were interesting and beautiful. As for the campsite, we had to split our time between two sites, 33 and 8. 33 was next to the stream and was a great site. Unfortunately we had to move to site 8 which was closer to the highway and not as interesting. The traffic wasn't too bad but being farther from the highway in site 33 was of course much better option.

The campground was completely full when we were there in mid April. For being full and with little space between sites the other campers were remarkably quiet. There was a quite a bit of road noise though. We did have a stream behind our site which was nice. We had three bars of verizon LTE by zero TV channels.

I’ll start by saying that we got very lucky to be in a site by the creek. These are shaded, private, spaced and pleasant. All other sites are either on top of each other or next to a heavily trafficked road. I would not stay here more than one night if I was at those sites. So from that perspective, we really liked it. You can get in the creek to cool off, and see crawfish and small fish try to pick a fight with you. Super cute. Some water snakes are there too, but are not venomous. The campground is right by a trail that connects to other trails and a 5 minute drive from the town. The town is inside the National Park which is cool. There, you can eat at the only brewery at a national park, making beer with hot springs water. Also get spa treatments and the like. Beautiful town. Park rangers at campground are not too friendly and love cutting the grass/weeds, like every day, different sites. So in addition to road noise, you’ll have that to look forward to. Notably, all sites are full hookups and require reservations. There are no showers and no dump station. There are a few sites at the entrance that may be ok for big rigs, but other sites may bee too short or narrow. Also, not really a place for tent campers. No tent pads so you’re pitching either on pavement or on uneven, buggy and muddy/mossy ground. This is most def for camper-vans, small rvs, or small trailers (under 20 ft). Finally, some tics so prepare accordingly.

Park is nice enough, but I would not stay here again unless I scored a camping spot along the creek.
The rest of the park has LOTS of road noise from the road that goes up Gulfa Gorge.
The spots along the creek are furthest away from the road.

Great campground and perfectly located right in the national park
Site 34 fit my 20ft trailer (no slides) and truck no problem
Worked during the day doing numerous video calls. Cell reception was excellent.
No showers but bathrooms are nice and clean. Individuals walking through daily cleaning the park.
