We stayed here for a night while exploring Saguaro National Park West which is only 5 minutes away. We stayed in loop c which is smaller than loop a but more scenic and is mixed in with tent campers. Our site had electricity but no water. We were pretty close to a communal water source but would need at least a 40 foot hose to connect up. Also, it wouldn’t of seemed right to stay connected. However, there was a large water and dump area located at the campground with at least 4 easy access water spigots and two convenient dumps in there own separate loops. The campground was nicely integrated with the surrounding desert with hiking trail access from the park.

This is a great location in a beautiful setting. Most sites tend to be tight getting in. Hiking and biking is great. Take pack rat prevention measures.

We have a Basecamp 20X and feel a little cramped and we parked about as far over as we could. Electric is working great. Excellent cell service. Very quiet. Loop B and C may have better Mountain View’s, but also closer to the road. We haven’t used the bathrooms or showers so can’t comment on those. Overall, a beautiful area for our weekend warrior camping.

Surprisingly quiet for a fairly full campground. Not a lot of privacy in the AZ desert, but nice walks through the saguaro forests. Again, trails were busy except in river washes. Good birding. 30 minutes to any conveniences.

Love the desert and the cactus but there were rattlesnakes with in 20 feet of the rv. There wasn't enough room in our site to set up chairs. Hosts were very helpful.

This is a great campground in southern Arizona. From November to march weather is beautiful, not hot. If you are tent camping December January may be a little chilly. All sites are great, well leveled and easy to pull in. Great view desert and mountains around and access to trails around the campground including mountain bike trails. The price is quite reasonable $20 per night for RV and tent sites are $10 a night. It has water shared between sites but all rv sites have electric. There is a dumo station in the campground and Verizon is quite fast so you can stream videos.

It's beautiful and rustic and for $10/night no complaints really, but it should say water available not water as an amenity.
We arrived with dry tanks and through the kindness of a fellow camper, we were able to extend our hoses to fill the tanks.
it's pretty and rustic, quiet and beautiful.
but if I could suggest one thing its that the county website needs more explanations and also after one reserves a space, it would be nice if the email confirmation contained the actual site number and not a broken link to a permit. So many people at the gate were desperately trying to get a signal so that they could try and find the site number they reserved.
a few suggestions and feedback for an otherwise nice & pleasant stay.
