The road in was quite rough from lack o' maintenance but was easy to get to the campground. The road in the C loop is a bit narrow but not a problem. Our site was a pull through so easy to get into. I would not like even try to back into a site with our rv in that loop. There were other sites in A loop that would be easy to access for a big rig. The power pole in our site, and a few others that I noticed, was on the wrong side of the site. Will need a long power cord.
The views are phenominal! Great sunsets and sun rises.
T-Mobile was awesome. 5G 4 bars (5G is not an option available on this site to choose from)
We have been on the road for 8 months now and this was a top 2 for us. When we return to this area we will be back.

We have stayed here multiple times and just cannot say how much we love it. The landscape, condition of the grounds, staff are all excellent. Proximity to civilization, breathtaking drives ( Gates Pass Rd), and all those Saguaro cactus!! Remote and yet fully connected. Perfect!!

We arrived at the end of the day and lucked out getting a spot. It is a very special place just outside the national park. Very clean campgrounds as well as restrooms. It was very quite as well. We did not know there was going to be such clean grills and picnic tables or we would have planned to grill. Already planning another trip that way. The only thing we wished that was there were showers, otherwise, perfect.

We have camped here 3 times in our travels. The campsites a generous with plenty of natural desert landscape. The views of the desert and mountains are breathtaking as are the nearby hiking trails. The restrooms are nicely maintained, and the two dump stations are level with great access. The 3 mile approach to the campground has very winding narrow roads, so drive slow as the campground is all worth the drive in.

“Great CG….but for the guns”
Reviewed 12/12/2021
We had a great stay here. The only annoyance is the near constant sound of gun fire. I guess that’s just our reality now, but the nearby shooting range is going to be your background track if you stay here. We’ll definitely come back, but it’s just a shame to have a shooting range so near a place that ought to be relaxing.

This is a very nice campground. 30 amp service at all sites. There are restrooms with flush toilets but no showers. In my view the best sites are up near A40 on the outside edge of the loop. Close to saguaro national Park and Gates Road which is an interesting climb through a pass.
