My wife and I stayed one nite. Place had about 5-6 other campers but everyone was friendly and sites spaced out. Beautiful view of lake fry. Access was good with paved road 95% of the way and bumpy rock road only at the end. Our Airstream Interstate with its low clearance was able to access. My wife and I stayed one nite. Place had about 5-6 other campers but everyone was friendly and sites spaced out. Beautiful view of lake fry. Access was good with paved road 95% of the way and bumpy rock road only at the end. Our Airstream Interstate with its low clearance was able to access. We met a bunch of women camp guides who were camping between youth summer camps and shared a fire. It was a nice experience all around.

We absolutely loved this free location. There are hiking, biking and water sport options all around. We unfortunately arrived on the Friday of 4th of July weekend so we're very limited in the number of site options, but we were able to grab the last one over near the parking area for the boat launch. We absolutely loved this free location. There are hiking, biking and water sport options all around.
We unfortunately arrived on the Friday of 4th of July weekend so we're very limited in the number of site options, but we were able to grab the last one over near the parking area for the boat launch.
The site was fairly clean, other than the unfortunate broken glass that some think is acceptable 🤬
We really enjoyed our stay here, be advised though the road leading up to the top of the mountain where this location is a steep six percent combination of switchbacks for about four or five miles. We saw many rigs navigating them, but if you're not comfortable or your rig is undersized you may have issues.
We were happy to see that DNR and law enforcement were regularly patrolling this area. Hopefully enforcing the 14-day stay limit as some of the rigs looked like they may be trying to overstaying their welcome.

Spent 3 nights with friends and had a great time. Our friend had fishing license and caught a few nice fish for campfire snack. No Cel service

Easy to find, paved to lake turn off, less than 1/4 mile on dirt road. Some ruts but not bad, plenty of sites. It was not crowded in early September. Nice views, nice road with switchbacks getting there.
