Not right on the highway but easy to get to with Apple map directions.

We stopped here for the night on the way from Minnesota to Nashville. The Google Maps routing from the north takes you on some rather questionable roads when you're pulling a trailer so double check your route so that you're on the main roads for as long as possible. Our campsite had a good amount of space between the neighboring sites. There was no vegetation between sites so no real privacy. The campground seemed mostly quiet while we were there. Our site was slightly off level to the left and pretty good front to back. We had 2 bars of Verizon LTE and 25 over the air TV channels. I think we'd probably stay here again if we're on the way through. No minimum stay for a holiday weekend was nice.

Found this place after a long drive from Kansas. Sites are spaced out well & roomy, rates are good. Not too far off I-72, quiet. Water pressure fine, good cell coverage.

A beautiful, out-of-the-way Park. Host is very friendly and helpful in every way. Cleanest shower house and restrooms we’ve ever seen in a state/county park. Quiet, relaxing. Nice trails.

Great old oak and hickory trees in a city park setting. Even though it’s miles from any town. Quiet too. There are only about 32 campsites and 8 are without power. Campsites are heavily old growthed tree covered. Electric sites are 30 amp. All sites are back in with some pretty short. No water or sewer at sites. Dump site on the way out. Showers are continually being updated and good full water pressure type. Clean. On the down side is it’s only open May 1 to November 1. Another little drawback is it’s 18 miles to crocery stores or any shopping, come prepared. A quick mart is 5 miles away in Argenta. Again it’s quiet but you may hear a few farm tractors at any time of the year. Stop by on the first Saturday of the month and in the mornings and Macon County has an old Bethel school open for your visiting and viewing. After that take a hike on one of their 3 trails. Trails and campgrounds are mowed every Monday. Beautiful park and campgrounds. You won’t believe how old school town like this area is. Best park in central Illinois.
