Look at the website to see the campground layout and which sites are bigger and which ones are first come first serve. The map is also on the kiosk at the entrance. Site #1 is the latter and is supposedly 60 feet, but it is pretty curved and it was tricky getting our rig in so our door was toward the picnic table (we had to get turned around on the one-way road) and so the big slide didn't hit a tree. Site #5 would be a straight back-in and is larger, but would also require getting turned around. The sites up on the hill are more shady, but we got plenty of solar. There is new asphalt down by the lake so more sunny and hotter, but probably beach access. There are cute little beaches all along the shore. You can hike past the end of the campground maybe a half mile to a couple more nice beaches. Otherwise, there are no trails. It's a straight shot to town with one bad place in the road near the little aspen grove. The boat launch parking lot was packed on July 4 weekend, but fairly quiet otherwise. People seemed to keep the generator running to a minimum. The campground host is along the lake shortly after entering. It's worth checking her board first to get an idea of which campsites might be open. You can camp in reservable campsites for a day or two if they are not reserved, as you have to reserve four days in advance. She has these listed as well. The vault toilets are very clean. The water has great pressure, but are not threaded bibs. You can dump and get water at Warren Bridge CG for $5 if you are headed toward Jackson. There is a dump station in Pinedale that is $15 to dump and $7 for water, but I can't swear to that, as we haven't pulled out of here yet. We both had 2-3 bars LTE on Verizon and T-Mobile.

Nice CG on fremont lake six miles from pinedale. Unfortunately could use more speed bumps as some people drive like they just robbed Wells Fargo. In the future I’ll camp at half moon or trails end for the hiking. If you haul a boat this CG should be a good fit.
I’m driving ms lazy to the next adventure.

If you want our exact site, stay to the left as you enter the campground - the lower loop road. The second site on the left is site 48. If it is not available there are 3 other first come sites down a little further.
Once you go by the boat ramp, around site 36, you come to a completely different part of the campground. It will be a lot more woodsy and tighter roads. There is a mix of first come and reservable sites.
If we want one of the newer sites, you might want to make a reservation, Sites 36 - 50 are the more open sites.
While staying at this campground, don’t miss driving the Skyline Drive, Just turn left out of the campground and up and away you’ll go. Take it to the end for spectacular views.
Our nightly rate was 50% due to Life Time Senior National Park pass.
There is a dump and water behind the car wash in town. $15 to dump and $7 for water,

Wooded tidy campground on good size lake. Nice sites, some with views. Easy walk to sandy beaches with shallow water perfect for little ones. Lots of sites open for Wednesday night drop-in.

This campground has two areas. The area along the right fork is generally higher up above the lake, until the end. Narrow paved road and the access can be tricky if you have a larger rig. A lot of the sites are sloped and small. I did not see tent pads but there were spots where a person could set a tent. Sites for RVs/trailers were limited along the upper road but once the road descends to get near the lake, there are some sites that will accommodate trailers. There's a turn-around loop at the end. The other part of the campground seems to be newer and has well-spaced paved pull-through sites along the lake with some very nice views. This area is the left fork as you are pulling into the campground. In late August, the campground was pretty busy and hard to find a site late in the day. There are vault toilets. The one that I went into was clean. It's in a beautiful location but site quality is highly variable and access is variable as well. Overall it's a nice campground though busy and the access is tight in some parts.

This is a beautiful campground in a beautiful area. Many sites are very spacious and private if you don’t want to be right on the lake. Close to town and an easy drive to amazing hiking trails.

The $16 price includes the $10 on line reservation fee but this is still a bargain. Our site, number 35, was reservable and we arrived to find two young people, squatters, occupying our site. They took about ten minutes or so to pack their kit and move on. The signpost at the site had my name and the proper date and these kids made some lame excuse about misreading the date.
The site itself was selected for its separation from adjacent sites and its lakeside location, offered great views of the lake and surrounding terrain. The long pull through at one point had three cars and a 36’ Class A parked out of the way of through traffic. If you are a big rig this would be a great choice. There are no hookups but it had a nice picnic table and a campfire ring. Access to the lake is steep but doable if someone is highly motivated.
Access to the campground is paved but for one short stretch of washboardy gravel. Roads within the campground are paved, narrow but one way in most places and cleared well enough to permit passage of a carefully driven motor home.
This is a great NFS campground and we would gladly stay again if in the area.

Most sites are large and can fit most RV’s. Some sites have their own beach. Other areas of beach access for those that don’t. Beautiful cg among aspens and pine on shore of deep natural lake Fremont.
The Town of Pinedale just installed a new RV Dump and Fill Station behind the car wash next to Wrangler Cafe on Pine St.
Close to Pinedale, “the real Wyoming” and “all the civilization you need”. Green River Mtn Man Rendevous with rodeo, parade and other events in July.
2 laundromats in town, propane sold at the local hardware and also a propane place North side of town.
Bike trails... paved trail into Pinedale from West end of lake and a dirt trail on the other side of the lake for easy MTB riding.
CG off Skyline Drive which also takes you to some of the most beautiful and popular trails in the Wind River Range.
Great Lake for boating if any kind with free boat ramp.
Town has all you need and is COVID compliant. We attended an outdoor music concert in the park where the city had painted socially distanced squares on the lawn. Thursday night farmers market, free music in the park, great library, bike trail system, mountain man museum, Wind River Brewery, Lakeside Lodge Restaurant on the lake, etc we could have spent our whole summer here! So much to see and do!
Only negative was cell signal in the campground, almost none. But there was 3 bar LTE near the entrance gate.

We enjoyed a nice secluded site surrounded by large trees away from the boat ramp. Lots to explore around here and a short drive into Pinedale. We managed to squeeze a little cell service from our booster.
