When we got here, Darren led us to our site, and told us he would be bringing fresh eggs (from the chickens in the “Coop de Ville” near the entrance) in the wash house in the morning, and we could help ourselves. The sites are concrete, the interior roadways are gravel. The shower house is clean. We were just a couple miles outside of Frankfort, which is a charming town, with lots of fun shops, a nice brewery, and distillery. We were about 30 miles from Sleeping Dunes, which was a fun excursion. Quite a few seasonal campers here. The owners are adding more sites, and have plans for a clubhouse and pool. We were on a west Michigan trip from Holland to Traverse City. The resort we were heading to had some water issues and we had to delay arrival by a day. We booked Frankfort Crystal Lake last minute for one night.
As we pulled in we were met by a very friendly man (whom I failed to get his name but I assume he is the owner) who flagged us over to our spot. I spoke to him for a few minutes and asked about check out time and he told us 11 but if we needed to leave later we could. We couldn’t arrive to our next resort until 1 so we were very happy to know we could hang out a bit longer since it is only a half hour away.
FCL is extremely quiet. The water pressure is excellent and the pad is very large and level.
We can see that this is a new campground and we are excited to see it grow. We will come back as we love Frankfort and will continue to give FCL our business!

We enjoyed our stay here. The campground has a nice layout. They have level concert pads. The staff was very helpful, knowledgeable, and friendly. The little town of Frankfort was a pretty cool place to checkout. The WiFi worked and the cell reception was pretty good. There have clean facilities with washers and dryers.
