First things first, I called and reserved a spot a month prior to getting to the CG. We got to the CG and there was no one in the office to help us. I contacted someone by the phone number on the door. Cassie was the camp host that was escorting someone to their site. Once we registered she gave us our site which was 102. I told her that I had a reservation for site 604. She told me that the owner had just given away my reservation to a "seasonal camper" last week and they were putting us in a spot that was much nicer and by the water. After a lot 0of hubbub we finally agreed to the site by the water (102). The are working on the "Resort" so the roads are not very friendly for a big rig at all! There are no one ways signs so the roads can be used both ways and there IS NOT enough room for two vehicles to pass. When you are approaching someone head on they give you a dirty look because you didn't stop pulling your rig to let them by! We finally made it to our site (102) and as I was backing into the site the rig sank in the gravel that was not compacted at all. So I had to goose it a little and the tires on my truck started spinning. I got the rig in finally then I got out to look at the connections. The electrical box was all the way in the back behind our rig and the sewer hookup was all the way in the front!!!!! I would have to have 40 ft of hose just to connect ONE of our two drain hoses. I had enough and finally decided that we were not going to stay here at all. They are charging you Resort pricing for a dumpy area that is not ready for a resort price. It does have the potential to be a nice place but they have a long way to go before I would ever think of staying here again especially after having our reservation being given to someone else by the owners! Not Cool! We visited Fox Bluff Vacation Cottage & RV Resort, no overnight stay.

This recently refurbished RV resort is developing really well. The new owners have put in a new (and great) pool and relaxation area with many lounges and tables in the shade and under various arbors etc. The park has a grove-like feel with hundreds of mature trees with full canopies shading most of the sites. The electric and sewer hookups are new as well. There are a lot of seasonal sites with patio and deck add-ons and they’re all new, clean, and orderly. With limited camping in the Chicago suburbs this park is going to be extremely popular for sure. It’s great to see the investments and efforts going into this really nice property.
Tim would stay here again

“Gross place for tent camping ”

Beautiful location right on the Fox River but the problems outweighed the location...Massive potholes getting to campsite (massive). The leave no trace idea escaped the owners - our campsite didn’t have a fire ring. The sites adjacent to us were empty and had garbage all over the place. I went on a short hike to see the river - discarded tent tucked in brush along with lots of other trash. Camper guy and his girlfriend starting blaring rock music once we pulled in - perhaps it was a ploy to make us leave? Totally worked because we did. We didn’t feel safe there and we were disgusted by the trash everywhere. There were a lot of broken down RV trailers - seemed gross overall. If the upkeep was a bit better, it could be a really great place. We didn’t want to camp in filth. We lasted 30 minutes. We got a refund which was nice. I would not recommend this for family camping.
