The park has an overall rating of 4-stars but it appears the higher reviews came from several years ago. I believe there was an ownership change since then. Our biggest complaint is the park needs some TLC. While the pool area is fairly new & large, a lot of the sites are in poor condition. Our site had the sewer hookup located at the very rear of the site resulting in multiple sections of hose to reach it. The opening was also at an awkward angle & encased in cement which made getting the elbow installed difficult. Our site also was a combination of rock, weeds & dirt which turned into mud after a night of rain. We were also locate right next to the road with little room to setup outside of our door. Our section was far enough into the park to not be affected by the noise from I-80.
There are no signs to navigate around the park & the site numbers on the electrical boxes, while large & easy to read, do NOT match what is on the map that is provided at the self-check-in. The map also indicates a food truck but when we asked what the schedule was we were told there is no food truck - the map is out of date. There are branches that need to be trimmed in the C section to avoid larger rigs. The grass around the park was several inches high & even higher around areas that need a string trimmer.
There are several dilapidated structures & just a general poor appearance of the property. This is a family-friendly park & it was very busy over the weekend, much quieter after Sunday check-out time.
Coalville, UT is just across the interstate but there are very few services.

When you enter the campground there is a gate code. So call ahead of time to get it. Check in is in the middle of the campground. The roads are on the narrow side. The spaces are average. There are two pools next to each other, the bath rooms are clean. There is a nice stream going through the property a fishing pond that requires a license from the resort. The campground is dog friendly there just really isn't anywhere to walk them. So was it worth the money not really.

This spot was nice and clean, the staff were friendly. The firewood here is my favorite because it’s so dry and burns great. The stars here are pretty special. Their laundry facilities were good. The pool didn’t feel very clean, that can be improved. Near some hiking trails. The best grocery store was the wholefoods in park city area.

Well kept campground where most sites have plenty of space. Lots of pools for the kids. I would not recommend coming on a weekend unless you like the excitement of crowds, especially in the center section where there are cars parked everywhere. There are 4 sections. The front section by the road is older and louder but OK. The middle section is under a grove of Cottonwood trees (great shade) with a grassy area in the middle where they show kid friendly movies some nights and have a food stand. I didn't see any mess from the trees but you know how bad Cottonwoods can be. Very crowed on weekends. The next section is on Echo Island and almost all sites are on the water. Quiet and nice but not as shaded. The back section looks newest with a pond but zero shade and not that pretty, though it does back up to the mountains. Also, plan how you will get into your space before you get there on Google Maps satellite view - will save you time circling around. The campground is not really close to anything, so I thought it was overprices for the location thus the 4 stars.

Nothing special. No major issues.
Very pleased with our site.
Not so pleased with cleaning schedule in bathroom, only partial pool openings, site seemed a little run down.
Even with the large amount of trees and bushes to buffer the sound from interstate, it was still noisy.
Not knowing the other campgrounds in the area, I don't have a good comparison. I would probably stay again.
Camp wifi was good once I boosted the signal.

We had been driving all day so we missed the not-very-well-marked entrance and had to go allllll the way around. Once in the park, it wasn’t obvious where our site was so we went to what we thought was the office: Closed. It was 3PM! We saw a woman in a golf cart and asked where we should go since there were no signs to follow. She motioned another golf cart over and asked “her brother and his girlfriend” to show us. He said to her, “what’s in it for me?!” With a laugh. Who are these people? So, we follow him across a rickety bridge and he guides us to our pull through spot but took us through the wrong way. Then he laughed at us! “Your utilities are on the other side! Haha!” And then drove away! Yeah, well, you guided us in the wrong way!
The dumpsters were all overflowing with trash, the dump station was closed. We didn’t even try the showers and bathrooms. The store/office was closed.
If you’re in the area, stay somewhere else. Rockport State Park is nearby and waaaay nicer and doesn’t have that run down tweaker vibe.

Obviously it’s new ownership and they don’t know anything about accommodating there Campers. We have been traveling for 2 years now and have never been so disappointed with the new owners. We would like to also like to note we are passionate about riding our side by side and asked specifically before we booked if there was riding FROM the park. They said yes. We literally have not gone anywhere since We arrived. We are very anxious to leave which will be July 2. We would never recommend this park and never come back.

First off, Paul & Darrel are incredible in the office. We had originally booked two weeks here since my husband had a job in SLC, but we ended up extending TWICE totaling about 7 weeks at this park. After scoping out other parks in the area, we decided this was the best bang for our buck. The management is incredible and ALWAYS willing to work with you and help you out with whatever you need. Store is stocked with a few RV parts, snacks, frozen drinks, ice cream, etc. You can rent basketballs or volleyballs to play in the yards there. The pool is WARM (heated) even on cold days and management opened the hot tub almost daily for my family. Coalville has a couple restaurants, food marts with the basics. (We’re GF and DF and had to drive to Park City quite often for dietary needs. Only 25 mins.) The grounds are well kept. Spots are decently spaced. RV park is right next to cow fields so don’t be surprised if you smell cow piles at the end of the night but they are so beautiful and friendly, you can pet them at the gates if your calm enough. Some spots are very close to the highway so choose spots towards the middle or back pond if you’re sensitive to noise. We fished at the pond and the younger boys caught their first fish! We’d def stay here again for a night or a month!

Echo Island is a gorgeous campground split by a mesmerizing river. We spent 2 months holed up here during the pandemic, and it was a great place during the week to spend a summer. The weekends were a different story, however. Starting on Friday, every site was full. And not just full with a camper. Full with a camper and an entire family reunion at every single site. I've never seen so many people in a campground.
Luckily we were in the back pull-thru sites which seemed to mostly be people who stayed at Echo Island for the whole season. Highly recommend either the very front or very back sites unless you want to be overrun.
Other than overcrowding, the campground is picture perfect. Super close to Echo Reservoir (you could probably kayak there from your site) and right across the street from the Historic Rail Trail. And only 15-20 minutes from everything in Park City, UT. We had great internet the whole time even in the back of the park, so no worries staying connected! Would definitely camp here again if we're ever back near Park City.
