With all the campgrounds in the area booked up, we were glad to find Dripping Springs RV Park had availability. Their website says 2 night minimum, but they were flexible since there was only one night available for 2 of their sites. Sites 1-3 are separate from the long term stay section and conveniently located next to their laundry room and spacious dog park. If you don't mind a no frills RV park, this place does the trick.

Ever heard the saying 'Diamond in the rough'? Well, this place is the opposite of that. Its a pile (almost literally) of RVs/Travel Trailers dumped within a the spectacular Hill Country of Texas. We booked a month here, and that was a big mistake. We ended up staying 6 nights, then decided our sanity was more important than the $$ we paid for the month.
Honestly, I wouldn't recommend this place if it was cheap - and it's not. There appears to be a much better option right down the road (Cottonwood RV Park) if you need to stay in this area.
Dripping Springs is ~50minutes outside of Austin in a sparsely populated area - however, peace and quiet do not abound at this particular park. The park is mostly full-time residents, many with dogs whose owners are gone all day (working?). The dogs bark. A lot.
There are no posted 'rules' anywhere in the park or on the website, so there really isn't recourse in asking neighbors to 'keep it down' during typical sleeping hours. Folks tended to like to make their presence known at loud volumes (voices, radios, car engines) throughout the day and night.
The owner, while very pleasant to speak with on the phone, is not onsite. There was not a 'camp host' on site during our stay.
Sites are dirt, so dust gets kicked up. More importantly, sites are VERY narrow. As in, if you walk out of your rig, you are greeted by your neighbor's sewage line (awesome!) and whatever else they decide to plop beside their mostly permanent rigs. Close proximity doesn't help the noise situation either. And there is not room to put out an awning if you wanted to (we didn't even want to).
The sites aren't level, but you can definitely work with them.
All sites have 50A/30A, water, and sewer hook-ups.
Wifi is free but inconsistent. After a few days of junky internet it went out completely and never returned. Verizon and AT&T have difficulty maintaining calls (as is typical for Hill Country) - we did not use a booster.
Laundry room was clean. There is a security gate with an access code for security.
Not much to do in the town of Dripping Springs; it's still a 15 minute drive from the RV park anyways.
We were super bummed out about this place. It is a newer RV park- just opened a few months ago. Even so, people have moved in full-time and are already building decks on their trailers, and claiming their territory with multiple (non-working?) cars. Initially, we were unable to maneuver our rig into our assigned spot due to a deck built on the neighboring trailer and their car parked in the way (they couldn't find the keys so they couldn't move it). We ended up choosing a different spot and letting the owner know via voicemail.
Total bummer of a place. Steer clear if possible.
