Pool Only Open 10-6. Only One Set Of Bathrooms And They Closed Them For Renovation While We Were There. Game Room Also Closed. Layout Is Disorganized And Not Well Maintained. WiFi Is Useless. I Don’t Know How This Rates As A Koa Holiday.

Staff helpful. Easy access. 45 minutes to downtown Denver. Reasonably quiet. Site’s adequate. Not many choices in metro area.

Site type: Pull Thru, 30 Amps, Full Hookups Patio Site
Overall: Great spot for us for during the work week. Nice and caring staff which makes a big difference. Most pull through sites are VERY tight where patio sides are truly about just 6 feet of patio space. So, we changed from a 50 AMP to an end spot 30 AMP patio.
THE GOOD
Sites: Gravel site with a fenced patio with grill, fire pit, and glider chair.
Grounds: Clean with a nice store.
Store/Pizza: They served pizza in the store which hit the spot when hungry and they deliver to the sites.
Connectivity: Very strong full bars at 5G on Verizon and was super fast. AT&T showed 3 bars of 5G but just had trouble on it for work.
Convenient: Easy in and out.
Gas: There is a small gas station just 5 min away if needed.
THE BAD:
Sites: Most oof the pull through sites are extremely close to neighbors. Try to get an end site / patio,
WORTH NOTING (Not good or bad)
Campground wifi: Could connect but not strong enough to do any work on it.
Highway: The park is right off of the highway which is convenient but comes with continuous highway noise.
Food and groceries: About 10-15 min on the highway to get to the main area that has restaurants, groceries, and such.

I can't say enough good about the staff. Friendly courteous and helpfull. First i lengthened my stay for an appointment then shortened it because the appointmen was moved up. Staff arranged so i did not have to move then credited my account for days i had booked but did not use. The campground is not a 5 star hotel but the staff and amenities (pool pizza ice cream bbq) more than make up for the location being between the interstate and the rail road. Best and maybe only site on the East side of Denver. This is my second time in the area and needing a site for the rv. I will come back again if the need arises.

After calling around, there weren’t many campgrounds with available space so we thought to give this place a try, but the previous reviews pretty much summarizes the place well. We ended up at the Loves Travel Stop in Bennett since we didn’t need any of the amenities and just needed somewhere to rest overnight. Saved ourselves $60!

Drove by, and it is right along the highway. I wasn’t impressed. It doesn’t live up to the standards that you think of a KOA campground having. It wasn’t appealing at all. I suppose if you need hookups, or a dump station, it might be useful, but I would be more inclined to stay at a Love’s Travel Center if you can get by without them.

We stayed here for 6 days during a journey west towards northern Utah. Seen from the highway coming from the east, it doesn’t make for a good first impression, partly because it’s located in an older industrial section of the town. The fact that our site was next to the corner of the campground with the dumpster and utility shed didn’t improve that impression, but the campground as a whole is decent. The sites are what you would see at most KOAs: dirt and gravel sites that are fairly level and are close together but wide enough to allow for awning deployment.
Our site (109) was an end site, and we had only one site between us and the entrance to the enclosed dog park, which was convenient for us. There are also grassy areas to walk the dogs on the south end of the campground and at the front of the campground. Even though our site was one of the furthest away from I-70, we could still hear the road noise while inside the camper with the windows. And trains run right by the north end of the campground, sometimes blowing their horn as they approach the railroad crossing. So this is not a campground for light sleepers.
In addition to the usual KOA features and amenities (the aforementioned dog park, camp store, swimming pool, and propane refills), they have several covered wagon campsites, a playground, and some communal gathering spaces. They also have Hunt Brothers pizza franchise on site and a small barbecue restaurant just outside the campground (we enjoyed their pulled pork sandwiches). So there’s a lot going on for a campground of this size. The staff was working on getting the campground ready for the summer season during our stay: smoothing and filling in the roads, changing out old decorations for new, and other general maintenance.
In terms of cell service, the best speeds I got on my Verizon Jetpack with MIMO antenna during our stay were between 90 and 130 Mbps down and 22Mbps up, and we had no issues streaming video. The one speed test I performed on my AT&T phone showed 8Mbps down and 10Mbps up.
