I have a 32 foot 5th wheel. Is Dennison Park good for that size RV?

I also wanted to mention the onsite park manager. He was very friendly and helpful. He definitely went out of his way to make sure that we had a great experience while there. If I could rate his performance on a scale from 1-10, I’d give him a 12! Very impressed and highly recommend!

Our 28’ Airstream and 20’ truck fit perfectly in the space listed above.

The park needs more maintenance, and someone needs to enforce quiet hours.

Some of the spots are close together, and definitely can't take an RV to the spots on top (reservations website clearly indicates those sites). Saw some complaints about the spots near the road but I think I prefer those as they're well spaced and road traffic is pretty minimal. One of the best parts is that you can actually usually get a reservation.

This is a great, affordable campsite for the area. Expect temperatures 10 degrees cooler than the coast. Spots are decent size and fairly spread out with good ridgeline views. Hard pack is extremely hard for tent spikes, being a hammer as there are no large rocks around. Pay online through Ventura county’s website. There is a cellphone tower on the hill with the campsite so connection is great.
If you’re the first one to leave in the morning the gate will look closed, it’s not. Just push it open to exit

“Nice but noisy because of camp host dog barking all the time. ”

Although it’s a nice campground, it would be better if camp host dog did not bark all the time. I like dogs, have had many. But when you go camping to get away you do not want to hear all that barking all day and night. If not for that would give a 5 star ranking.

...If you do follow the arrows up the hill 100 feet past the camp host, you'll come to a sign saying NO RVS on this road, and you'll have to back out. No place to turn around. Most of the sites are uneven and to short for an RV. Better for tent camping.

For awhile I was reluctant to review this gem of a campground, since it's one of those lovely places that hasn't really been discovered by crowds of RV's and campers. In fact, Dennison Park is a wonderful find within an easy drive from LA to escape into the hills and forests and enjoy nature. We can't wait to return.
Dennison is on top of a hill with lovely views and wonderful scenery. We arrived two weeks after labor day and were the only RV in the park. There were only three tent campers, so we had the park mostly to ourselves. At this time of year we didn't see any day-use visitors. We felt pleasantly far from civilization.
The sites near the top of the hill are for tents or vans. With our Class B we were able to park in the upper portion of the park, rather than the lower RV area. RV's are restricted to a 35 foot maximum length and there are no hookups.
Being near the top of the hill gave us a nice breeze and we were beneath shade trees. Our site also had a fire ring, stone picnic tables, garbage can. The restrooms are very clean that are at the bottom of the hill near the camp host site. There are water spigots throughout the park.
The park is close to Ojai, one of California's most charming towns.
We showed up without a reservation. We filled out and deposited a registration slip with $20 into a supplied envelope that we placed into a locked yellow container. If you prefer, you can go to the Ventura County website and pay on-line with considerable advance notice. This will allow you to check availability and reserve a specific site.
Dogs are allowed for $1/day extra.
