Although our site (#2) was right off the road, we were not bothered by road noise at night. Very easy access into and out of the park. Would definitely stay again, next time for longer!

We stayed here in our 38' motorhome with toadat site 34. We had plenty of room and the view was great!! We had full hookup but no cable, but there were plenty of over the air channels. Plenty of restaurants, bars and stores nearby.

PROS
Friendly check-in clerk
Toilet, shower and laundry require door code to enter
Non-moveable picnic anchored to concrete slab
Pedestal BBQ grill
Concrete parking pad surrounded with grass
Vehicle parking next to parking pad
Site 59 level back-in
Slight ocean view from lagoon sites #56-65
Very clean and well stocked Toilet/shower facility required door code for entry
Quiet except for FM3005 Highway noise which drowned out the ocean roar at times
Trash barrels about every other campsite
Free WIFI but too weak for TV streaming T-MOBILE 2 to 5 bars depending on time of day
CONS
No gate closure overnight
No security on site
Sites packed tightly together absolutely so no privacy
Upon arrival, our site pedestal BBQ grill was full of cigarette butts and partially burned wood
Women’s toilet stalls would not latch and close
No park host
Not dark sky friendly Street lights everywhere along with lighted utility hookup poles Park website states open fires prohibited, but saw many sites using solo stoves and propane campfires.

We’ve stayed here twice. Both experiences were great. Staff is friendly service is good. Sites are clean and hook up is easy. This place is right on the beach! The beach that aligns with this park doesn’t allow car/truck traffic so the beach feels “private”. We will stay here frequently!!!!

The well spaced sites are concrete pads with FHU and our favorites are the ocean fronts which can accommodate back-ins from 30’ to 55’. There are also pull throughs in the center of the campground and additional back-ins along the lagoon side.
There is wifi; however it is less than robust. There is no cable. We are self contained and did not access the showers / lavatories. Strong cellular with ATT and Verizon.
Staff is extremely friendly and accommodating. Obviously rates vary based on time of year and length of stay. We spent Easter week 2022 for a little over $300 ocean front….total!
Located just beyond the sea wall, the City of Galveston (which operates Dellanera) is easily accessible. Walkable beach to the west. Highly recommend.

Easy access onto the sea wall for walking and biking and restaurants and shopping are just minutes away. The sites are a bit tight, but level. Our site (#10) was only slightly longer than Bevi and the Jeep was parked beside her in front of the patio. The patio was large enough to fit a few chairs in addition to the picnic table and overlooked the lagoon. The beach-side sites are back in sight with a great beach view and some have fire pits surrounded by an arched benches with windbreaks. Definitely a place to return to and one I wouldn’t mind spending more time at.

This is our first trip to Galveston, so we weren’t sure what to expect. The campground is clean and there is a decent amount of space between campsites. Only the small back in sites are on the water, but we are one row away and I hear the waves as I write this early in the morning. Road noise is minimal, although we did hear loud music from cars parked on the adjacent beach Sunday afternoon. The campground store doesn’t have much to sell and it’s at least a half mile to a store. The laundry facilities are great and only $1 per load!
The wifi access has been excellent but the campground is only about 70% full.

We stayed here for our daughters birthday and it was great. You really close to the beach like from the camper door toes in the sand in 2 minutes or less. All the sites are concrete and roomy. We would definitely stay here again.
