Curious about the height of the train trussel that you go under. We are 13'7". Will we fit?

The road off 97 was paved and 4 miles to the site.
Even though I lived in Mount Shasta many years I have never been up in this area. There are a lot of off trail roads to hike, bike and of course enjoy winter sports when it’s snowing.
There was one other group of people here who had a tent up. Since we are only staying for two nights we parked in the big lot and didn’t stay in the separate RV spaces. We also want to have more open sky to put up our Starlink.
Our dogs are loving it.
Just be aware that there are bears in the area so don’t leave anything out. There is no trash removal so pack it in and pack it out.
There is a nice log structure with a big open door with plastic across it. There are tables inside along with a huge stove, there was kindling and fire logs cut and stacked inside.
There is a pit toilet, but we didn’t have the need to use it.
We did see a large group of cattle walking down a dirt road coming in the opposite direction of 97.
Last night around 3:30 we heard some trucks which were logging trucks and now this morning again going up and down this road

The site wasn’t too far from the 97. Definitely worth the short drive for a free stay. There is RV parking on both sides of the road. The cell coverage was horrible with Verizon. It showed 2 bars LTE, but nothing loaded.

All paved roads getting in. I felt very comfortable as a solo female traveler. There were four other vehicles while I was here. VERY quiet. I loved the paved spaces to park in and picnic tables. Also pit toilet was in good shape. I had 1-2 bars with T-Mobile. I would totally stay there again for a night or multiple.

This was a great spot and we really loved that we could park the car on pavement and set up our tent on the pine straw. We made a campfire here and that kept us warm before bed since it does get cold here at night due to the high elevation. We loved the views of Mount Shasta driving to and from the campsite. It was quite buggy with a lot of ant hills, but it wasn’t bad once the sun started to set. Not a ton of privacy, but there are a lot of spaces so people are spread out.

Level paved sites, picnic tables, fire pits, beautiful forest setting, and it's free. No garbage service, pack in pack out. No water.

We love this campsite so much that we stayed for 5 nights, left for one, and returned to stay another 2 nights. This is just off the highway, about 4 miles down the road. Big rig friendly, we easily drove our 39' motorhome and had plenty of space to park.
Campsites are large and well spaced out. It is free to camp for 14 days. We saw about three other groups camping during our stay. Every site has a fire pit, picnic table, and a lot of covered trees. This was great for privacy and camping but limited our ability for solar. We ended up parking in the big parking lot across the street for extra solar the last two nights.
Great location, big rig friendly, quiet, and safe. Will absolutely be back!

Stopped here as we were passing through. Only 1 other person on the 4th of July weekend. The trees make it shady and protect from the wind (a storm came through).
A good, paved road from the highway and pit toilet was clean.
Defiantly staying here again on future trips.

We arrived late on a Wednesday and were the only rig there. We stayed until Saturday and only saw 2 other rigs. This place is very quiet with lots of forest roads to explore on foot, bike, ATV or snowmobile in the winter. There is also a very clean pit toilet.

Would have stayed longer if we had had the time. My AT&T hot spot worked fine here.
