“Glorious view of Shasta Mountain ”

At the end od the road leading up to Mt Shasta. It is the starting point for climbers and adventures to go up the majestic Mt Shasta. Large parking lot pretty full of cars. Some people sleep in cars, but the majority were empty (people were spending the night up in the Shasta Wilderness). Big rigs can stay in the parking lot. Primitive camping is to the right, for tents or vans. Has pits toilets and internet! I stayed there for the stunning view of Mt Shasta, but it was a bit noisy and crowded. Less crowded campgrounds are earlier in the same road. Free camping is also allowed on the road. Overall great road with plenty of camping spots.

This place was loaded with eager hikers and mountain climbers! This is a staging area. All of the camping is off to the right as you approach. No big rigs, but a few class Bs. I stayed at the Red Fir Flat group camp a couple of miles before Bunny Flat in my class C and trailer. Not really suitable for big rigs, either. Beautiful, quiet spot that I hope to visit again!
