Looking for easy site to access waterfall views. That was part of reason for site 78 AND was close to restrooms.
We are in a 16 foot van so, EASY parking! :-)

I picked this campground because it's part of the GSMNP and the location worked for the trip when I needed one night on the way between Gatlinburg and Charlotte. Unfortunately, we were traveling with dogs, and the main attraction of this campground is river tubing.
The parking was nowhere near level, but the tent pad was nice and shaded from the hot sun.
The sites are spread out, but we found that large groups were staying there, so the campers in the three or four sites surrounding us were all there together.

We will definitely be back.

We have stayed here 2 years prior to this year with a good experience. We had a reservation for Labor Day which we unfortunately had to cancel. We attempted to call many, many times with no answer. We then emailed them two separate emails, both well before the deadline for cancellation with no response to the email either. The day of our reservation we called again to make sure we were cancelled and to our surprise, they actually picked up the phone. Also to our surprise, they claimed we were cancelling our reservation the day of and would not be reimbursing our money. While I trying to explain what the situation was that we've experienced and our attempts to contact both via phone and email, she started to speak over me explaining they would not be reimbursing us because we were trying to cancel the day of our reservation and HUNG UP ON ME! I was shocked.
Needless to say we won't be coming back to this campground, nor will the 5 other families that we come with. I refuse to support a business that treats their customers so poorly.

Bryson City is a cool littel town as well.
