There was lots of space and instead of picnic tables they had tables and chairs, a nice addition. The staff was very nice and had many suggestions for local places. Each spot also had a garbage can and a recycle bin. I mention all of this because this is all extra for a campground. Also, my water tester indicated the water was good to drink, unlike most campgrounds. There was a nature trail right off the campground and access to many paved bike trails in the area.

A little pricey but a beautiful park. Roads are easy to navigate, sites are large and spacious. Extremely clean. We camped at Sun Outdoors Bend in a Motorhome.

We stayed here a couple of days ago, and thought it would be really nice because it was owned by Sun Outdoors. I have been RVing for years, but I feel like I made a rookie mistake. I believed what was published on the website, but found things a bit different. The luster has not only wore off, but if you look a bit deeper, you may be upset at the price too. It's too expensive for what you get, and this price reflected a 12% discount if you can believe it. There is also a $10 resort fee per day -- this is not a resort -- period.
The park is nicely wooded with pine trees that have been there for years, and the amenities seem to all work, although things are showing it's age. It's not like things are bad, it's just that they are showing their age, and I don't think the owners will do much, because it's one of the only parks in the area that can take the very large motorhomes and fifth wheels. There may be some exceptions but I doubt many of the state parks are an option, as I have to squeeze in my 28 ft (length overall) trailer into those spots.
The furniture is a mix of chipped and rusted, and some that are well painted and only partially rusted. The main area paver patio is caving in a couple of spots, and it looks like the deck near the hot tub has also been compromised. The store is not even close to stocked, so I would call it an after thought. The washing machines are nice, but it's difficult to use the "CSC" pay service they have contracted. The App didn't work, and we ended up using a Venmo card that repeatedly said was declined (There was $158 dollars on it), and Venmo doesn't have a record that it even tried to take the money. It finally worked after several tries. I noticed other complaints using this service I have never seen before.
Condition of the campsite was poor, and the map was not correct. I picked a site that showed an extension road, so you could back in, but it was blocked off. The office told me to just drive down there and back-in. If they are RVr's then they had to know it was not possible (I've included a picture). I was able to back into another vacant site and get turned the other direction, but I was just lucky... because the renters of that site came just 3 minutes later... I would have had to back down the entire road to get turned around, and then back all the way down again. The storage area was full of pine debris, the cable tv was full of cobwebs and the supplied cable had such a bad picture, I used my own. The supplied trash tub was smelly and hadn't been washed for some time. Bottom line -- they don't prepare (or check) campsites for new arrivals. For this kind of money -- I expect it perfect.
If you have a large rig, then maybe this will work for you.... if you have other choices.. take it.

Our little, 27’ travel trailer was undersized in this park. Many expensive class A coaches. Easy to see how they can demand the high price.
The sites are all spacious. Parking areas are paved or covered in pavers.
Quiet and conveniently located for easy access to/from Hwy97.

2 miles away there is a new RV park just breaking ground and there are rumors as to who will own it and what happens to this park. Stay tuned.
I hope this park gets the TLlC it deserves.

Moving on though, we stayed a week in Bend and have loved this resort experience at Sun Outdoors. The physical setting is wonderful with large Douglas fir trees and large open grassy spaces in a residential setting. The resort is located in the SE area of Bend made it very convenient to reach parks, shopping, recreation and major highways for access outside of the city. While here, we were able to walk our dog in the park as well as outside the park in neighborhoods. Alpenglow Park, about a mile from the resort, is a great park for walking your dog and we’d recommend it.
The amenities at this resort are perfect for us but we are an older retired couple so we don’t need the playground or pool. The individual spaces are amazing in my mind as they are fully paved, long and wide. Most have plenty of shade with some sun breaking through. The utilities were appropriately located at each space and easy to access. Cable TV is available and Wi-Fi was quite good. In addition to the basic free Wi-Fi, you have the option for faster Wi-Fi for streaming for an additional $25 for the week which is a good deal. The laundry and shower area is convenient and clean.
In addition, the staff was very friendly and made us feel welcome. We rate this resort at the top of our list and is amongst one of the most comfortable that we have experienced. We recommend it.

We stayed here in site 439 for 2 weeks from end of May to beginning of June 2023. We were in a back-in site with pavers that had a huge yard all around it with a fence the entire length of the resort that separated the park from the main road. Most of the sites have pavers which looks really classy. We had more than ample space (super long site) and were able to easily park our tow vehicle alongside of and in front of our motorhome making the parking super convenient. The interior roads were easy to navigate and wide enough to back in without a problem. About 30 feet of space between each site made it feel very spacious and wide open.
Full hook ups were well-maintained and easy to use. Plenty of ponderosa pines provided partial shade, but tons of pollen in the air while we were there. It covered everything! The site was so big and because it was made of pavers it felt like a ginormous patio. They provide bistro like tables and chairs.
Bathrooms were good for the most part. Men's ran out of toilet paper on the weekend, but other than that ample supply. There is a separate building for toilets & showers for both men and women (2 each), but then also men's and women's 2 showers/toilets in the main check-in building too. Each has pros and cons when it comes to privacy, and ease of use (i.e., there is a shelf for your toiletries in the shower in one, but not the other). Women's showers were more private than men's.
Laundry was clean and easy to use, but no quarters accepted to run the washers (you can use quarters to operate the dryers however). Credit cards are accepted to operate all of the machines.
It was quiet and the staff was helpful / nice.
Pros - garbage and recycling is collected right at your site if you put it out at the end of your driveway in their designated provided containers by 11 each day. Also, each site has it's own large storage container that is lockable (bring your own lock) for your extra stuff. Also, there's a small exercise room on site, and a hot tub.
Cons - A bit expensive. At that price point I would expect more bathroom stalls and / showers for the size of the resort. Also, making the men's shower area private would be a big plus too. We would go back as there's a lot to do and see all around Bend.
