“Very nice park with helpful staff and hosts.”

This is a pretty typical state park with water & electric and a dump station. Like most state parks there is a daily entry fee in addition to the camping fee and that adds another $7 per day to the cost. The sites are very near to the Missouri River in one of the few unchanged portions remaining today. There is a very nice visitor center and on Saturday evenings there is a program in the amphitheater that is worth a visit. It is also only 15 miles to the Lewis & Clark Interpretive Center, We visited in June and mosquitoes are about so repellent is important.

This is an area where RV spaces are difficult to find. It is near the area where Lewis & Clark spent their first winter on the way west. It is less than an hour north of Bismark and I-94.
