the site 15 was awful hard to get into as it’s uphill and quite rutted out. but there’s loads of great sites for smaller campers and class b and c. might be good to ask to take a look through the park at the office before taking a spot. i had to go back to the paved road to get excellent cell.

Nice fall day with plenty of leaves blowing around as the winds kicked up and a storm blew in. The road into the campground from the main day-use parking area (and trailhead for Potawatomi Trail, which is popular with mountain bikers) is over a mile long, on a fairly narrow and bumpy semi-paved road. The road goes up a bit before a left turn into the campground, then it goes down a good ways. This is not a campground for large rigs as the overhead clearance can be low in places, the road narrow, some tight turns, and few level spots. In fact, the reservation system lists most of the sites as tent/truck only. I'd say that's pretty fair - there are a couple of sites where a larger van or class C could work but don't test your luck.
The hand water pump before site #1 is broken - I saw some rangers refilling a 5-gallon jug of water (it has a dispenser) sitting next to the pump. The boat ramp is not paved so only intended for smaller craft, the pier in decent shape, the vault toilets clean enough, and a large dumpster - these were the only amenities.
I didn't check my AT&T hot spot, unfortunately, but in the campground itself there was virtually no T-Mobile signal. I got up to 3 Mbps down/<1.0 Mbps up, out on the pier. There was a better signal (maybe even 5G) in the day-use area parking lot.
Depending on your tastes, I think I enjoyed the Green Lake Rustic Campground a bit more. But because it's nicer its also busier depending on when you go.
