Club de Pesca is a mix of full-timers living in RV's or casitas and sites for visitors. Full hook-up sites are available on concrete pads overlooking the beach for $45 per night. We opted for the informal dry camping right on the beach for $25 per night. Most of the beach area was packed firm enough for us to set-up our 27-foot Airstream without issue. There were a handful of others set-up at the beach area as well, including massive fifth wheel trailers and travel vans. There was adequate space between neighbors.
The beach is nice sand (but watch out for dog poop) and great shell hunting when the tide is out. We swam and paddled SUPs right from our set-up. Gorgeous evenings here.
The area right behind Club de Pesca is a very popular ORV/ATV sand dune. We joked about our morning wake up provided by avid locals at 7a (brrraaap brraapp brap). The dune was really active on the weekend and very noisy. You've been warned.
It also seemed to be common practice to dump grey water right on the sand 🤢 Completely understand that it's not against the rules here, and it is just wash water. But it sure does smell up the place and our neighbors weren't so good at reading the drainage. Their grey water would run and pool under our trailer each time they dumped it. No bueño!
There's a bath house with baños and cold showers. We dumped and filled water from one of the full hook-up sites on our way out.

It’s not paved entry and the beach area can be sandy in spots but the majority is compacted hard pack which makes it easy to navigate even in our large and heavy rig. Once we arrived at the opening to the beach we stopped on some hard pack and scouted a great spot that wasn’t too sandy. Everyone of the staff are very helpful and kind. This is a definite must stop.
Walking to town is an easy 15-20mins.
There is really only Telcel or Movi here so:
-AT&T roaming on TelCel is throttled too .5mbps up/down all day every day.
-Verizon roaming on TelCel works well until the 500mb cap then is throttled.
-TMobile on Telcel seems to work the best for us.
-Telcel is cranking at 70/50mbps
Rebekah and Jared would stay here again

The best RV park on the south side of San Felipe, Club de Pesca offers a bit of everything for everyone. They have around 20 newer beachfront sites with palapas and full hookups on concrete, the rest of the sites are closer to the large sand dune behind the RV park (which dune buggies & ATVs will love). Many of these sites have hookups, but you can also get sites without too. These sites are still just a very short walk to the beach, and there's a nice covered patio area with small store and restaurant where folks can gather (it helps having a free wifi hotspot there too).
While the palapas are charming, they seriously restrict what size rig you can get into those sites. We were lucky that our "skinny" Winnebago Views were narrower than normal motorhomes, so we were able to squeeze in. Larger rigs will have to settle for one of the non-palapa sites (there are only a couple on the beachfront, but many more by the dunes).
Although I never used it, there is a relatively nice bathhouse with showers centrally located for all campers to use. Manager and staff were very friendly and accommodating.
It's a bit less than a mile's walk to the downtown malecon via the back streets. About half that if you can walk along the beach.
If you're here during the San Felipe 250 race or Semana Santa, expect it to be ultra crowded and noisy. But most any other time, this will be a quiet and peaceful piece of paradise along the Sea of Cortez!
San Felipe has excellent Telcel LTE service (who partners with T-Mobile). They also now have an AT&T store in town, so I assume that coverage is good here too.
