“Ok, not private but pretty”

FYI - this camp area involves a steep and windy climb for about six miles, and sits at 10,000 feet. I’d you’re not from the area be advised - the elevation definitely impacted us.
It is a very pretty spot with beautiful trees and a nice view. Pit toilets were clean and the park was well maintained. People were very quiet, and we got one of the last two sites. The one we were in did not offer much privacy but others did. The little valley town below is adorable and would be nice to explore (we didn’t because we had our dog). Lots of firewood for sale, $6. Definitely a cool spot but a shock to our systems. Lesson learned lol

“Peaceful overnight stop”

Stayed here for short overnight. It was only 4 miles off interstate 70. Steep incline with many hairpin turns. Paved all the way to campground. Small campground and road was very rough! Sites were spaced out and beautiful mountain creek across the road. Hydro electric plant had low constant hum. Deer meandered throughout. Price is senior rate
