“Nice, but sandy.”

This area is quite sandy; we came out here in a 6WD truck camper and it was iffy. There was clear evidence of previous visitors having been stuck. I wouldn't recommend it in anything other than a fairly capable 4x4, but then it's probably OK if you air down.
Other than that, it's a reasonably nice place, though no great shakes by southern Utah standards. IOW, scenery was nice enough but distant. There were no other campers in sight, and it's far enough off US89 that you can't hear it, but there is a bit more noise from SR43 than I would have expected.
I doubt we'll come back out here, though. There's lots of other good dispersed camping in the area where you don't worry about getting back out.

“Looks like a good site for dry weather camping”

I took a look at this location while scouting possible camping sites in the Kanab area. It is a large, flat, open area of dried sandstone mud. It looks like it would be a good camping area, and very quiet. However, with my experience of this type of surface when it rains, I would only camp here if the forecast was dry. The access road is excellent, of solid gravel.
There was 1 bar of Verizon voice, but no data signal.
John T would stay here again
