- highway noise loud but that’s to be expected and doesn’t really bother me
- I’m in one site for one night then move to another site for the next night and even though the new site is open, they won’t let me move until they put the sign on the post
Don’t be confused my the 2 bars of AT&T- could get no data to work but was able to easily make phone calls

Pretty easy to check-in and there is a note to the host site if he's not there. Wish there were more small trash cans distributed around as the dumpsters were on the far side of the place. The shore power is very poor. Once you start to draw power the voltage drops from 125v down to 108v and that's only on a 30A receptacle so I had to reset the breaker as my camper didn't like such a bad voltage sag.
Water spigot is high which is always nice to see makes it much easier to attach filter and regulator.
It's close to the highway but at night it's almost not noticable and during the day it's very loud.

We didn’t realize that there wasn’t sewage hookups but we still loved it. Bathhouse is very clean. Pay for showers 25 cents for 2 minutes. Hosts are friendly and chipmunks are cute. Lots of trails to hike and bike right here and many in a short drive. Weather is perfect.

We arrived right at check in.. which was super easy. Site was perfect for our needs. Bathroom was clean and having a shower was great. Really great to have a dishwashing sink at the bathhouse!

Stayed at this campground periodically throughout the months of June/July of 2023. It's a quiet and private wooded campground right off I-70 near Evergreen, CO. This campground is off exit 253 and is only 1 exit down from the Evergreen Walmart, HomeDepot, and gas station. This campground has tent sites, partial hook-up with on-site dump station, and full hook-up sites. This campground has a Host who manages the campground and frequent Denver City park personnel who manage the up-keep of the campground. On-site restroom/shower facility is provided with coded entry. Shower is $1.50 for a max of 4 minutes. Outside kitchen sink is available at this facility for washing dishes. Wifi is available, but can be slow. Verizon cell service is adequate. We would stay here again.

This campground surprised us! Unfortunately, there is no spectacular views; however, this campground is small and quiet. Positioned perfectly between Evergreen, CO and Denver, CO. Walmart, King Sooper, & Home Depot is only 5 minutes down the road. Wifi is provided at this campground with a 3-5mbps download & upload speed. We have 2 bars with Verizon at this campground. We were surprised by the full hook-up site as we only booked a partial hook-up site (not sure what happened there), but we are thankful for the amenities. There is a shower facility on site but it does cost $0.25 per 2 minutes. Garbage service is provided. Given the campground's size, it is a bit tight to navigate the campground; however, the sites are wide enough with designated space with a picnic table.

With only 19 RV sites and 23 tent sites, this very small campground close to the top of Genesee mountain was a nice find while visiting our son in Denver. With only 19 RV sites and 23 tent sites, this very small campground close to the top of Genesee mountain was a nice find while visiting our son in Denver. There is a 6% grade on I-70 but it didn't pose a problem for us since it was clear of snow. Besides the huge potholes on I-25 and I-70 on the way here, the hardest thing to get used to was the altitude! 7700 ft up caused us daily headaches and we were low on energy for about a week.
We stayed on site 18 which has a tent site right behind it. There was a couple camping there that argued loudly for many days but Lonnie, the campground manager, took care of the situation and we spent the rest of our stay in peace and quiet. It rained for most of our stay so there was a lot of mud and quite a few spun out in the campground looking for purchase on the small interior roads. We are pulling a 30ft travel trailer with an F250 so we didn't have any problems but this is not a big rig friendly campground.
We didn't use the amenities here. There are pay showers and they seem clean . There is also dump station located behind the bath house, next to the dumpsters, but we were NOT charged for using it. There are quite a few places to eat and shop just a mile down I-70 from the campground. The campground has free wifi that was pretty good. AT&T wasn't good and Verizon was great! If you have the opportunity, spend 2-3 hours visiting the Meow Wolf - All Ages Interactive Art Experience! Also, the American Indian restaurant, Tocabe, was fantastic!

We stayed here two nights for a show at Red Rocks and were very happy.
Coin operated showers in a very clean, heated bathhouse.
Not great for big rigs, but our Sprinter had zero issues.
Was happy on site #14, but might get #21 or #22 across from the bathhouse next time.
Will definitely be back.

This is a very small city park, and it was fairly difficult to maneuver our rig around in it. We had a "pull-through" site but the pedestal wasnt on the correct side and required us to go the wrong way down a one way road. Fitting in the site was also an issue for us and required a lot of maneuvers to get out of the road.
The reservation process is cumbersome since it's a permitting process not really designed for camping use.
Given that it's on a hillside, our site was very unlevel side to side - 5.5 inches off with our width of trailer. Sites were fairly close together but separated in elevation depending on where you were.
Road noise from the interstate was significant but not distracting inside.
The park is visually pretty and seemed well maintained.There are many trails within walking distance. Evergreen is a nice town.
The fee for the dump station that others mentioned seems to have been done away with for campers - no mention of it on signage or other documentation.
Lots of trees precluded Starlink usage. Unboosted ATT coverage was poor at 1mbps download and 0.5 up. TMobile coverage was better with around 17 down and 3 up with a roof mounted Pepwave antenna. The park also provides WiFi which was about 1mbps down and 1 up.
We wouldn't stay here again if we could get reservations in Chatfield or Cherry Creek State Parks.

“Not Safe for Dogs ”

I secured tent site T-9 as I've always secured this particular site. I have used this campground on repeat occasions yearly. This last visit I checked in for my site at T-9, and the whole grounds on which this site sits, was completely covered in Foxtails. For those who do not know what Foxtails are they are extremely dangerous to Dogs and Cats. The seed heads burrow into the pets skin and migrate further into their bodies causing damage to internal organs. Just look up Foxtail dangers to dogs. Anyway, I put down tarps to cover an area for my bulldog to at least have somewhere to sit, play a bit and chew on a few treats and toys I brought along and join us during down time. I went up and talked to the rangers and explained why I did it. The ranger I spoke to said he understood and that that particular site had been booked since opening of season and that they hadn't been able to spray the weeds. I explained how dangerous the Foxtails were to dogs and that if they are to rent that space to another with a dog they may want to block out a week and take care of it before someone else's dog gets into it. Most people who are not from the west likely don't even know what Foxtails are and what kind of serious damage (even death) it can do to their loved pets. They agreed and said it's fine that we put the tarps down we were doing them a favor by suffocating them. Day 3 rolls around and we return around 7-ish to our campsite to find a warning citation on our table, written by a different ranger, stating we have to remove the tarps immediately, for destruction of their vegetation or they will write us a citation with a fine and/or evict us from the campground. What really got me is according to the State of Colorado Regulations they are supposed to have 900 square feet of usable safe space (safe, meaning to humans and pets/small animals) per campsite. Most sites are with a parking spot with nice gravel and traveled up to the tent pad. However, this site and a couple others were not, for reasons not really explained to us. Anyways, next morning the ranger came and spoke to my husband and said the other ranger was misinformed about telling us what he did about suffocating the weeds, and that we need to remove the tarps. They offered us an alternative camp site, but when we took them up on that offer, they proceeded to tell us none were available for the time frame we had remaining. We would have to move sights a few times. Now, anyone who knows about tent camping, it is a lot of work to relocate a camp site. To do this several times would not even be worth it. We proceeded to ask for a refund, NOPE! No refunds since there is nothing wrong in their eyes with the T-9 site. They offered their group site area to us, so we took it and moved camp only once. The new problem was no parking. We had to walk all our things twice a day to the car in the visitors parking lot. This campsite has had Bears on numerous occasions. There are NO BEARBOXES and so the moving of all food and items with smell had to be taken to and from the car every night and every time we wanted to cook. The ranger proceeded to tell us that they contacted their naturalist, and deemed those Foxtail weeds as an exotic species and so therefore they need to be protected even though it is all over in between the sites and in the foot tall grasses they haven't maintained. I asked why it had to be in the "safezone" of our so called tent site and they just said because it is a special species and it has to be allowed to grow where it wants naturally. So, I asked, how is it that these plants could be more important than the health and welfare of my dog on a site that was advertised as dog friendly? They could not answer and told me to take it up with Denver Parks and Recreation. So, I will. Now, in addition to this event, over the last two years or approximately since the marijuana laws have changed in this state, we have seen partyers of all sorts up all night making loud noises after the 10 PM quiet time, hypothermic needles on the ground, air wreaking of pot at all hours, drunk and vomiting people in the overnight hours of the restrooms. Homeless people sleeping in the ladies restrooms overnight, asking other guests for money and alcohol and they apparently allow homeless people to rent a tent site and just sleep in their cars. One particular person was there with his dog and was so high he didn't even close his windows and his Husky jumped out of his vehicle and was roaming around all the campsites including ours at night. I had to wake this man up and he was smelly and out of it. He said his dog got loose in the evening hours and he just figured he would come back. Also, you must listen to I-70 Vehicles all night as the campground has no sound wall from the highway. if you like to hear J-brakes from semi's all night this place is for you. I now see why they have a whole list of rules and regulations in place because the childish behavior from the homeless and Red Rock concert goers and pot smoking hippies that are swarming the place are completely out of hand. All the while they apparently only enforce their precious Foxtail weeds over all the other nonsense. The last two times have progressively gotten worse. This last time being the topper on the cake. I will never return to this campground EVER!

We reserved a campsite only to have website book next day. Then we spent most of the day trying to contact by email and phone calls only to be charged 5 dollars for cancellation. Very unhappy.
