We stayed in a class B and enjoyed our time there. Although it was crowded it was quiet and pleasant. The bathrooms were clean and amenities fun.

While there is a bus stop inside the campground, we elected to drive <20 min each way (depending on traffic) to the college park metro station. Get your senior Metro card at the well -staffed, well-stocked camp store on arrival. Bathrooms large and clean. Pool with lifeguard! Lots of amenities and very friendly staff. Noise from nearby highway, but didn’t affect us. Not much room between sites. We didn’t care. Imho most people don’t use this cg as a place to hang out -didn’t see many campfires or folks lounging around their trailers- but for what it excels at- an easily accessible, safe, well-staffed base of operations for your DC visit. Highly recommended!

If you’re visiting Washington, this is the place to stay. They offer a daily charter bus plus the Metro bus stops at the campground entrance. And if you have a car, it’s about 35-minutes drive time (maybe a bit longer with traffic). To be honest, it’s a great place to stay even if you’re not visiting D.C.
They have two swimming pools, a cafe, playgrounds, well-stocked camp store, delivery of firewood, ice, and cafe orders, and a concierge to help with travel and tourist sites. The entire park is clean and well-maintained.
THINGS I ESPECIALLY LIKED:
Proximity to Washington, D.C.
Excellent condition and clean
Great staff to help with making the most of your stay

We had two issues which were resolved by the staff. First, the power pole was to far from our camper. The office loaned us an extension. Second, the 30amp breaker wouldn't hold. The staff beat me back to the campsite and had it changed in 10 minutes.
To get to DC, we used the Metro train. There's $5 daily parking next to the station, which was about a 12 minute drive from the campground.

You are 30 minutes from Washington DC! This place is for staying near the attractions of the area, going and doing things in the surrounding area. They have a shuttle service so you don’t even have to venture into the city with your car and deal with parking.
The staff are very friendly, the store is well-stocked with just about anything you’d need, and if you need a day away from site seeing, you can chill at their pools or get your laundry done.

They have a mini golf course, a couple play grounds and a really nice dog training area with obstacle courses. The laundry facilities in the back (they have 2) near the cafe and arcade is so clean and huge! They have a lot of machines just like a real laundromat. This place is so cool. Starlink worked great here, no issues. Cellphones had reception.
Nearby there is a grocery store and a Starbucks. Not to bad of a drive if you are doing site seeing. There is a bus stop within the rv park which is very convenient!
However, this park is located right next to a highway and that noise is bad, we didn’t feel comfortable opening our windows with all that gas smell in the air. It would be nice if they had a wall up to reduce noise and gas.

The sites are pretty level but are really close together. For example, our nextdoor neighbors fire pit is probably 5 feet from the bedroom window in our RV. Our site was towards the middle of the park which was better for road noise, but the road right in front of our site basically is the primary road for RVs to get in and out of the park. If you stay in one of the sites on the outside of the park you’re either camping next to Cherry Hill Rd. or the interstate. There are no quiet spots in the park from what I can tell after walking around.
The walking trail around the outside of the RV park is a nice feature but you’re basically walking right next to the interstate. You may be in the trees but it sounds like you’re walking on the interstate itself. My wife was walking our dog and an elderly couple with two black labs could not control their dogs and they came after our Australian Shepard and pulled the elderly lady to the ground.
Dogs are barking constantly (ours doesn’t bark) and kids are riding scooters and bikes everywhere and walking through your campsite (what little there is) routinely. This is the exact opposite of what we like in a campground. We just came from the VA Beach KOA which is huge, but there are bigger spaces, trees between the sites and much more serenity.
The convenience to Washington DC is the only reason to stay here.

Booked this park based on location and pictures. We only needed to stay a few days and we’re planning to be in the city for most of the trip. I was a expecting the usual “bowling alley” quality RV park but this place truly was a resort! Everything is well maintained/working, updated, clean and everything is well thought out. We went in the early fall and it was a beautiful and low key environment. My kids had so much fun!
I was so surprised to later read reviews about noise as that was NOT the case for us. We have a smaller RV so we were able to park further away from the main road. I’m sure the larger A’s and trailers have to park in the pull through, premium lots which are closer to the road but I can’t imagine it’s that bad even there.

Avoid at all costs as it WILL cost you. In these times, an UNFORGIVING cancellation policy is UNACCEPTABLE. They do not get the need to be flexible in these COVID times. This place just don't get it.
